Why has the renewal taken so much time? Here is everything we know so far about The Flight Attendant Season 3.
It’s been more than six months since we heard anything about the status of the third season of “The Flight Attendant,” which is quite surprising given that the network usually tends to renew many of its original series within a few weeks to keep the catalog unique and different from other streaming platforms. They have been able to create a great reputation over the years with different genres of series to attract viewers around the globe!
One of the most talked about series from HBO Max in recent years is definitely this beloved American dark comedy-drama mystery thriller television series, which was developed by Steve Yockey based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Chris Bohjalian. For context, the second season alone received mostly positive reviews. The popular site, Rotten Tomatoes, has an 86% approval rating with an average rating of 7.15/10, based on 53 reviews.
On the other hand, Metacritic has a weighted average score of 76 out of 100 based on 21 critic reviews, indicating “generally positive reviews.” Despite having some major ups and downs last year, when many long-running television series were canceled ahead of schedule, The Flight Attendant was still left open for a future season as it was still a major success having the chance to build a proper franchise with a good conclusion storyline.
But, as we all know, there are two sides to every coin, and the same seems to be implied for the show’s new season!
Unfortunately, three months into the new year, the network has not acknowledged any reports stating a potential release date for the third season. The series is at a standstill with no renewal or cancellation approval. If there is more of The Flight Attendant in the future, then we can expect it to debut in 2024 or early 2025. It’s difficult to imagine anything beforehand, as there’s a possibility that we’ve already seen the show’s conclusion, as the series did end with a satisfying conclusion.
In the final episode, “Backwards and Forwards,” the viewers saw Cassie connect the dots in a far-reaching conspiracy, while Megan tried to make amends with Shane. To be fair, Cassie has been through a lot in the previous episodes and deserves a break after all she’s been through! Furthermore, Kaley Cuoco recently announced her pregnancy on Instagram, which could be one of the reasons why the show’s renewal has been put on hold for a while.
As a result, we ask that fans keep an eye on social media and be patient with any future updates of the show!
In the meantime, we urge the readers to stream the second season in order to recall the events that have transpired so far as Cassie Bowden (Kaley Cuoco) lives her best sober life in Los Angeles while moonlighting as a CIA asset in her spare time. But when an overseas assignment leads her to inadvertently witness a murder, she becomes entangled in another international intrigue. The season was filmed in Los Angeles, Berlin, and Reykjavik.
