The Imperfects: Will there be a Season 2?

Despite it being opened at No. 3 in its debut weekend (September 8-11) before slipping. The series spent only three weeks in the Top 10. Unfortunately, the answer is no as Netflix has officially confirmed that the second season of The Imperfects is scrapped only after one season. It is reported that this is not the long tail that Netflix wants to see for shows that earn renewals. Hence, it was enough reason to not continue the series for additional seasons.

Take a look at some of the fans’ reactions to the cancelation below:

The Imperfects Plot

The show is created by Shelley Eriksen and Dennis Heaton, The Imperfects revolves around Tilda (Campbell), Abbi (Jagpal) and Juan (Godoy) develop unique abilities seven years after being diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder as teenagers and undergoing an experimental treatment conducted by Dr. Alex Sarkov (Nicholson) and Dr. Sydney Burke (Ricci). Until recently, they were taking medications that kept their secret powers dormant, but now they’ve run out of pills, and their powers are emerging and upending their lives.

Tilda, the lead singer of a punk band, develops a banshee-like shriek and hypersensitivity to sound, rendering her unable to perform. Abbi, a studious undergrad, starts producing hyper-attractive pheromones, drawing unwanted attention and interfering with her plans to become a scientist. Juan, an art student with dreams of becoming a graphic novelist, begins transforming into a bloodthirsty beast, endangering everyone he cares about. Burke is willing to help them, but she needs cooperation from Sarkov, who’s nowhere to be found.
