The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 Part 2 Plot: What to expect?
According to Netflix Tudum, Mickey Haller isn’t like other lawyers. This hotshot runs his law firm from the back seat of his Lincoln as he takes on LA’s biggest and smallest cases. As we meet Mickey shortly after he’s recovered from surgery and a subsequent pill addiction. When his colleague unexpectedly passes away, Mickey gets back into the legal game, inheriting all of his cases. Working out of his car isn’t the only thing that sets this lawyer apart — Mickey takes the family business to a whole new level as he works with his prosecutor ex-wife, Maggie, and his other ex-wife and assistant, Lorna.
The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 is an adaptation of the fourth book in Connelly’s series, The Fifth Witness. After achieving huge success in court at the end of the first season, when we pick back up, Mickey’s kinda famous and has his choice of high-profile cases. “I think [the fame and success] has its good side and its bad side,” Garcia-Rulfo tells Tudum. “He’s got this mojo back and his confidence back and all that, but I think that success brings a lot of bad stuff as well if you don’t know how to handle it — and I think he wasn’t ready for it.”
The next five episodes will follow up from the first part of the second season, in which we got to see that the season begins with Mickey as he meets a new client, receives a frustrating request, and makes an instant connection with a chef. Lorna has her hands full, juggling work and school. Stuck in a sticky ethical dilemma, Mickey seeks advice from Legal Siegel and comes up with a strategy to help get a vulnerable client out of a scrape. Later, we got to know that Mickey has to think on his feet when he takes on a high-profile murder case against a razor-sharp prosecutor.
As Lorna can’t shake her doubts about Cisco, whereas his team hunts for a needle in a haystack to clear Lisa’s name, Mickey comes up with a creative solution for a teenager accused of vandalism. Cisco puts himself on the line for a friend. After pushing Andrea to show her cards in the courtroom, Mickey risks overplaying his hand.
Moreover, the main cast members who are expected to return in the second part alongside Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Halle are as follows: Neve Campbell as Maggie McPherson (reduced from series regular to recurring), Becki Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy, Angus Sampson as Cisco, and Krista Warner as Hayley Haller. Moreover, Deadline reported that the new cast members joined season 2, which includes Matt Angel as Henry Dahl, Lana Parrilla, and Yaya DaCosta. The personas of Parrilla and DaCosta are probably going to keep Los Angeles’ top maverick lawyer on his toes.
