The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 is not coming to Netflix in October 2023

Will it premiere in October 2023?

Ever since the beloved series was renewed for a third season back in August 2023, no official updates about the potential release date have been confirmed by Netflix. As a result, there is no chance that the beloved legal drama series will be returning with a new season in October 2023! But for your consideration, we speculate that the likely release window might be fixed for sometime around the summer of 2024!

At the earliest, we expect to see a third season of The Lincoln Lawyer in Q2 of next year with the same time slot of 12:00 a.m. (PT) or 3:00 a.m. (ET) on Netflix.

Given that the producers intend to present a top-notch courtroom drama for future chapters, the shift in the release window will depend on how long the actor’s strike lasts and how it affects the three production phases. These elements also make one thing quite clear: even if the third season is approved, it will not be debuting on Netflix anytime soon. As a result, we advise readers to turn on social media notifications to know about all the latest information on The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3.

What to expect from Season 3?

The legal drama for its third season will be based on The Gods of Guilt, which is the fifth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly. The novel follows Haller as he takes on the case of Andre La Cosse, a “digital pimp” who allegedly murdered Gloria Dayton, an old friend of Haller’s. Connelly’s signature character Harry Bosch appears in the book but does not play a major role. The novel is so named because Haller describes members of a jury as “gods of guilt.”

“The audience response to the show has been so gratifying and wonderful, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to dive back into Michael Connelly’s universe and bring Mickey Haller and his world to the screen again,” showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez told Netflix. Also returning alongside Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller are the following cast members: Becki Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy, Angus Sampson as Cisco, and Yaya DaCosta as Andrea Freeman.

If you have streamed the second season, then you’ll know that Mickey found himself in a mess on both professional and personal fronts. When beguiling restaurateur and activist Lisa Trammell (Lana Parrilla) was accused of murdering a prominent city developer, Mickey was tasked with proving her innocence. Complicating matters was the fact that lawyer and client were romantically involved — before they started working together, of course!

Although Lisa was found not guilty, her sketchy past eventually caught up with her and jeopardized any potential relationship with Mickey. At this point, it looks like the hotshot lawyer can overcome most challenges, but Season 3 will touch close to home. In the final moments of Season 2, Mickey learns that his friend Glory Days (Fiona Rene), with whom he previously worked on Season 1’s Jesus Menendez case, is dead.

“It’s going to be the toughest case he’s ever had, both professionally and personally,” executive producer Ross Fineman told Tudum back in July. Further adding, “This was his friend, someone he cared about, and he needs to know what happened to her. And there’s a nagging sense that he might have been responsible in some way.”

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 Expected Episode Count

The next season is expected to be consistent with the official episode count and include at least 10 episodes with an average runtime of approximately 45 to 55 minutes that can be divided into two parts, just like the second season. We would like to highlight that the creators of the show can also increase the number if they want to expand further on the series and make a supersized season, which will be confirmed by the network later as the release date draws close.

If you want to receive more information on The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 on Netflix, the viewers may enable notifications on the streaming platform.

For now, we urge the readers to stream the first and second seasons to be up to date with all the plotlines, which are now available to be watched exclusively on Netflix, with other series of the same genre also accessible with a wide range of membership options depending on the package you choose. The basic membership starts at $9.99 per month, and the standard membership starts at $15.49 per month, with no additional cost for any of their services.

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 Official Trailer: Has it been released?

The network has not released any new teasers or trailers for The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 because the production of the beloved series hasn’t commenced yet. It might get delayed due to the ongoing 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, which is still being negotiated as it hasn’t been able to come to a proper resolution yet, even though the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike has officially concluded. As a result, the creators might take time to publish any new promotional stuff for the next season, maybe once the actor’s strike concludes.

In the meantime, check out the official trailer for the second season to recall what transpired in the show so far, which has the following official synopsis:

“LA’s Hottest Defense Attorney is Back for Season 2! The Lincoln Lawyer, Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist, runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles. Based on the series of bestselling novels by renowned author Michael Connelly, the second season is based on the fourth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Fifth Witness.” Take a look at the official trailer for The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 Part 2 below:
