A Mandalorian and a Jedi? They’ll never see it coming! Here is everything we know so far about The Mandalorian Season 3. 

Only one week is left until “The Mandalorian,” a space western television series created by Jon Favreau, debuts on the streaming service Disney+ next month on March 1, 2023, with each new episode dropping weekly every Wednesday morning at midnight PST for the next few weeks, eventually concluding its run on April 19, 2023, just like the other original series and movies that are exclusively available on the platform.

The Mandalorian Season 3: What to expect in the new season?

The season picks up after the events of The Book of Boba Fett (2021), with the Mandalorian and Grogu traveling to Mandalore so Din Djarin can redeem himself for his transgressions of removing his helmet. The official synopsis of the seasons states, “The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”

The series is a part of the Star Wars franchise, set after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983). The season stars Pedro Pascal as the title character of Din Djarin / The Mandalorian, a bounty hunter traveling to Mandalore to redeem his past transgressions with his companion Grogu. The co-stars in the show include Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, Emily Swallow as The Armorer, Omid Abtahi as Dr. Pershing, Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto, Christopher Lloyd, and Tim Meadows. 

Babu Frik from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) along with other members of his species will also make an appearance. The season is produced by Lucasfilm, Fairview Entertainment, and Golem Creations, with Jon Favreau serving as showrunner. Additionally, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, Lee Isaac Chung, Peter Ramsey, and Rachel Morrison directed episodes of the season. Moreover, Joseph Shirley was revealed to be composing the score for the season, replacing Ludwig Göransson.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Episodes and Streaming Options

The upcoming season will consist of 8 episodes with an average runtime of 30 to 50 minutes, just like the prior seasons. It will follow the same episode count to be consistent with the storyline and character arcs and progress the story further. As of February 23, 2023, we would like to highlight that the network has not yet revealed the exact episode synopsis, which will be revealed as the premiere date approaches in a few days to avoid any early spoilers!
