‘The Mandalorian,’ ‘Wandavision’ and ‘Loki’ to release on Blu-Ray and 4k UHD

Blu Ray

With the influx of innumerable streaming platforms, sometimes we desire to press rewind and feel the ambiance of a Blu-Ray in our home theatres. A traditional Friday movie night with the family, and loved ones or a movie night marathon with friends, something feels incomplete while watching it on streaming platforms like Netflix. A classic Blu-Ray and 4k UHD physical copy reports us to a simpler time.

In recent news, Disney decided to let its viewers marinate in the nostalgia that surrounds watching their favorite action series in their home theatres by introducing ‘The Mandalorian,’ Wandavision,’ and ‘Loki’ on Blu-Ray and 4k UHD which is releasing this month. Each of the Marvel Universe creations has different dates and seasons of releases. Along with these golden releases in physical form that you can collect, the discs will feature exclusive concept art cards in addition to brand-new, unified, and collectible box art created by well-known artist Attila Szarka.

Loki is the first to premiere in the classic form that Disney has recently opted for in an attempt to bring streamer classics to your home on 26th September 2023 which was yesterday. The legendary Asgardian returns as Loki, a role reprised by Tom Hiddleston after his 10-year run with the same character on the big screens. However, we will only get access to the first season given that Season 2 of ‘Loki’ is set to release on ‘October 3rd.’

Even though Loki played a negative character turned good, the audience fawned after him and was devastated after his untimely death at the hands of Thanos who was on a cosmic expedition to retrieve ‘the stones’ to destroy an entire half of humanity.

Wandavision is next in line starring  Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, and Paul Bettany as Vision. Their chemistry seemed ethereal on the big screen in the Avengers movies, but Vision had met his unfortunate demise at the hands of Thanos. Created by Jac Schaeffer, the series consisted of nine episodes taking place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. It will be released in the physical form on 28th November 2023.

Manda

Finally, The Mandalorian will return soon and in two season parts where Season 1 will be a separate disc and Season 2, another one. It is a Lucasfilm series whose creation can be attributed to Jon Favreau and is based on the events five years after George Lucas’s Star Wars series ‘Return Of The Jedi (1983), along with the fall of the Galactic Empire. The character Din Djarin will be played by Pedro Pascal, who is a bounty hunter sent on duty by the Imperial remnant forces to bring back the child Grogu, but instead decides to protect the baby. There are eight episodes per season, so you will get to see 16 episodes in physical form released on December 12 th, 2023.

Additionally, all the above-mentioned titles are currently available to pre-order, with Loki Season 1 already out yesterday, 26th September. This attempt to divert from the over-streaming style online towards a more vintage and memorable form of watching home movies is being widely accepted and praised. We hope Disney makes this a staple for all upcoming and old classics.
