When will we get The Morning Show Season 3? Read on to know more.
There’s an American newsroom drama that navigates some serious real-life issues. The word ‘newsroom’ definitely reminds one of Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon starring in the Apple TV+ drama, The Morning Show. The breakfast news programs might seem a benign issue, but its cutthroat world is adeptly invaded by the writers and jubilantly brought to screen.
You might know pretty well that The Morning Show is a fictional yet reality-inspired breakfast news show with Alex Levy as one of the anchors and Mitch Kessler as her co-anchor of fifteen years. The show runs from Manhattan on the UBA network. America considers it to be a game-changer in the news industry and pretty much looks forward to it. The show had already aired two of its seasons.
Season 1 focused on the raging problems, and consequences of the #MeToo movement as Mitch Kessler (Steve Carell) was fired from his job on allegations of sexual abuse. The next season eventually went on to concentrate on the large-scale pandemic, which, just like us, upturned many lives in the show.
We watched the second season air on September 17, 2021. It has been quite a few months, and fans think it is high time that they get some news about the upcoming season.
Will there be The Morning Show Season 3? Here’s everything that you need to know about the future of the show.
The Morning Show Season 3 Release Date
January 2022 has seen a renewal of the show for a third installment. This is enough, for now, to put the drama fans at ease. We haven’t got any official news concerning the airing of the show. Given that it should take quite a number of months to get things ready, we suppose the drama would be ready to stream in the Fall of 2022.

The Morning Show Season 2 Trailer
As already mentioned, we are still apprehensive about the wrapping up of the new season. One thing we are certain of is that The Morning Show Season 3 is happening. The dearth of crucial information has left us lost. Therefore, we do not have a trailer regarding The Morning Show Season 3 to share with you. On second thought, why don’t you treat yourself to the trailer for Season 2? Until then, we might get some more news and maybe a trailer, who can tell, for Season 3. Fingers crossed!
The Morning Show Season 2: A Recap
*Beware! Spoilers Ahead!*
A lot happened here. Alex Levy and her fate seemed to be heavily jinxed. That season Alex had to cope with the death of her co-anchor and lover Mitch Kessler, a covid positive diagnosis, and a divorce. If you thought this was it, then let me tell you, she was scared at the thought of being canceled as her and Mitch’s affair came to light. That’s a lot on her plate. It is known that Alex is married to Jason Craig and that they have a daughter, Lizzy, together.
They remained separated, but when Jason asked for a divorce, Lizzy blamed Alex for not being able to hold on to their failing relationship. With Mitch’s death, Alex’s situation worsened. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Aniston shared, “It was relentless! Honestly, I did think at one point the writers were trying to kill me!” She added, “I was like, ‘Oh my gosh. You guys! Literally crawling to the finish line here’.”
Then there is Bradley Jackson, Alex’s current co-anchor. She had her own share of sad stories and difficulties concerning her love life with her girlfriend, Laura. Then there’s Cory Ellison, who had always been there for Bradley. We obviously sense a triangle love story between Laura, Bradley, and Cory. Witherspoon spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about it. She said, “I’m really interested in their love triangle between Laura and Cory, the complexity of the chemistry she has with Cory.” She added, “But, again, it’s a person she works with, so I’m really curious how it all plays out.”
The Morning Show Season 3: What can we expect?
It would be interesting to see how the upcoming season pans out. Kerry Ehrins, the former developer of The Morning Show season 1 and 2, has commented on the prospective storyline of Season 3. The upcoming season will see Charlotte Stoudt at the helm and Ehrins as a consultant. The former developer has suggested to The Hollywood Reporter that the fans might see a time jump into the future, thereby not picking up exactly where it left.
She also added, “I think it’s going to have been done, done, done. You could go backward. It’s such an interesting little universe. You really can put it anywhere in time, and I think the challenge of the show is coming up with that big subject.”
About Alex and Bradley’s future in the show, Ehrins opens up to Deadline. She says, “I definitely want to see more of Bradley and Laura. I feel like Alex has come to a place for the first time since the pilot of accepting who she is and facing her worst fears, and I want to see how the phoenix rises from the ashes for her and learning how to have a full life and be present and loving.”

When Reese Witherspoon was asked about her thoughts on The Morning Show Season 3, she replied to The Hollywood Reporter, “If #MeToo was the center of season 1 and season 2 has so many issues but really tackles the impending pandemic, I would love to see how the world realigns post-quarantine.”
She also adds to her answer, “Even though that seems optimistic to say at this point, with people still dealing with the complexity of COVID and really what it’s doing to different industries. But just, how the whole world has culturally shifted in so many ways; the way we communicate and work, the way we talk to each other—there’s definitely a lot to talk about and tackle.”
About Alex, Aniston spoke to Variety that in Season 3, she expects Alex to find some love and passion. She adds that Alex might prefer some new companion, and Aniston adds, “She needs a good girlfriend! Chip is Chip, but come on. We need her to go out and have a girls’ night — and not well. Messy! I want to see her go to the supermarket and just walk around the world and get out of her ivory tower a little bit.”
In all, that’s quite something we are looking forward to. We might as well expect some new faces and a new crisis to survive.
