The series is expected to continue and explore the plot further from the fifth season, which follows a white, mid-western family as they adjust to moving into a predominantly African-American neighborhood in Los Angeles. That includes their new next-door neighbor, Calvin Butler.
The new season will also continue the plot from the final episode of the fifth season, which will release later this year.
