Is the British television serial returning for a new season? Here is everything we know so far about The Night Manager Season 2.
It looks like Jonathan Pine is making a comeback! After seven years of waiting for updates on the future of the show, there seems to be some good news that has finally arrived for Tom Hiddleston fans, as the beloved series might be officially in the works at Amazon Prime Video and the BBC. According to Deadline, although it has yet to be formally greenlit by Amazon and the BBC, it has also been reported that it has received a two-season order, with David Farr, who wrote the original, returning to write Season 2.
It is also rumored to start filming later this year in London and South America. The fans will have to just wait and see what the coming months reveal about the series’ status. To be honest, it’s not a surprise that the series will be able to get another season, as Rotten Tomatoes has an overall score of 91% on the average Tomatometer and 89% on the average audience score.
On the other hand, IMDb gives the series an 8/10 with approximately 93,179 votes. To say the least, the first season performed well in terms of its screenplay, acting, and cinematography, which was appreciated by critics and fans around the world to get a renewal. Recently, a Hindi adaptation of The Night Manager starring Aditya Roy Kapur as Pine and Anil Kapoor as Roper launched earlier this month on Disney+ Hotstar and received a great response from viewers.
It is the first Indian TV series set to feature on the new cover authored by John le Carre. The Ink Factory’s Simon Cornwel recently said, “I would love to see a season two of The Night Manager in India.” Additionally, Sandeep Modi, who is on board as director and showrunner of the Hindi version, said, “I keep joking with Simon Cornwell, Le Carre’s son and co-CEO of The Ink Factory, that we’ll make season two before you do and you can use that for the English version.”
