The crime thriller comedy television series isn’t going anywhere and will be back for another season! Continue reading to find out more about The Outlaws Season 3.
Attention readers! It looks like surprises for The Outlaws fandom can’t be stopped anytime soon as the beloved television series, which is created by Elgin James and Stephen Merchant, has been renewed for another season and was confirmed to be in production by the BBC in March 2023.
The excitement among the loyal viewers who just started binge-watching this series can’t be contained, as is evident from the overall reception it has received so far! After this great announcement which has cheered everyone up, the fans are once again wondering about the potential release date, plot, and cast, among other details, for the third season of Amazon Prime Video and BBC One’s The Outlaws.
Then you have reached the right place! We at Web News Observer have compiled all the necessary details that will help you know about the future schedules of this series in order to avoid much confusion.
Here is everything we know so far about The Outlaws Season 3.
The Outlaws Season 3 Potential Release Date
As of writing this, we can confirm to the readers that the potential release date for the third season hasn’t been disclosed, as it is way too early to confirm such information when the renewal was announced a few hours ago.
But if we have to predict the potential release date of The Outlaws Season 3, then it is expected to arrive in early 2024. As of now, filming for series three is underway in and around Bristol.
On the other hand, there doesn’t seem like a chance that the show might not return in late 2023. We say this because many major writers’ rooms have been on strike for a while, which can impact its production and delay the premiere on the platform.
Of course! This can only happen if the production concludes on a timely schedule sometime later this year to avoid any longer hiatus and unnecessary delays to the release, which can tamper with the interest of the audience.
In the meantime, we are hopeful that everything will go according to plan and that the fans will be able to get their hands on the highly anticipated new episodes of this comedy thriller, which is about a disparate group of lawbreakers thrown together to complete a community service sentence.
While you wait for the release date announcement, check out the official renewal announcement as shared on Amazon Studios Twitter handle, quoting, “Together once again #TheOutlaws has been picked up for a third season.”

The Outlaws Season 3 Plot
Not much has been revealed about the third season but the series is expected to follow a group of strangers from different walks of life forced together to complete a Community Payback sentence in Bristol. With crime boss The Dean behind bars awaiting trial, The Outlaws are moving on with their lives – until one of their own returns with a deadly secret, hurling them back into mortal danger.
As a murder manhunt closes in on the gang, can they prove their innocence before The Dean’s case collapses, and he comes looking for revenge?
The new season is also expected to pick up the plot from the finale episode of the second season which was released back on July 10, 2022, and showed out of options and time, the outlaws must take extreme measures – but with the eyes of the public and the police on them, they must work together to pull off the con to end all cons.
In order to get some context for what the fans can expect to see in the new episodes, take a look at some of the comments given by Stephen Merchant below:
He stated: “After the overwhelming response to the first two series, I’m delighted to be bringing back our lovable band of miscreants for more misadventures. Audiences have really taken the characters to their hearts, so I can’t wait for them to see what hot water we’ve thrown them into this time. And I’m thrilled we’ll once again be filming in my hometown of Bristol. I expect I’ll be welcomed with a ticker-tape parade. It didn’t happen on the previous series, but I put that down to Covid.”
The rumours are true. Delighted to confirm that #TheOutlaws Season 3 is now filming in Bristol. What peril lies ahead for our merry band of lawbreakers? We can’t wait for you to find out. pic.twitter.com/w6kF7hkO71
