In the episode, the viewers got to see that Officer John Nolan is moving closer to his new role as a training officer. In preparation, he is tasked with overseeing Officer Aaron Thorsen and must uncover the truth about another officer’s suicide. Meanwhile, Lucy’s successful undercover assignment earns her an invitation for specialized training in Sacramento, and she must decide if this is the path she wants to take.

The new season of the show will include Lucy Chen and Tim Bradford, who will go undercover together, assisting Angela Lopez and the Las Vegas Police Department in their efforts to bring down a big criminal organization. It is reported that Rosalind Dyer will make a cameo appearance in the season opener.
While Nyla Harper is on maternity leave, John Nolan earns a golden ticket and decides to become a training officer, assisting in the completion of Aaron Thorsen’s training. Beginning in the third episode, he will also be training a new rookie called Celina Juarez.
