The Rookie Season 6 Plot: What to expect?
Despite the release date confirmation, nothing much has been revealed about the plotlines in order to avoid early spoilers. But we are certain that the season will continue the basic premise, which follows:
“John Nolan, the oldest rookie in the LAPD, has used his life experience, determination, and sense of humor to keep up with rookies 20 years his junior. Nearing the end of his training, Nolan now faces his biggest challenge as a police officer when he must come to terms with the choices he has made in pursuit of the truth.”
We would also like to emphasize that the season will also pick up the plot by the end of season 5, where we get to see Aaron Thorsen lie in a hospital in critical condition after being attacked by a gang led by a man with a vendetta against the police. In the end, an unnamed man gloats over using the gang as a diversion for his nefarious plot, which remains undisclosed.
The Rookie Season 6 Cast: Who will reprise their roles?
Though not much has been confirmed, we speculate that the main cast members from the fifth season are still expected to return, which includes the following: Nathan Fillion as John Nolan, Shawn Ashmore as Wesley Evers, Mekia Cox as Nyla Harper, Jenna Dewan as Bailey Nune, Alyssa Diaz as Angela Lopez, Richard T. Jones as Wade Grey, Melissa O’Neil as Lucy Chen, Eric Winter as Tim Bradford, Tru Valentino as Aaron Thorsen, and Lisseth Chavez as Celina Juarez.
There is a big chance that some characters might not return; we’ll just have to wait and see what happens next and in what direction the creators will take moving forward! In addition to this, the beloved series was created by Alexi Hawley for ABC, and the series is produced by ABC Signature and Entertainment One (eOne), which is the lead studio and international distributor of The Rookie, a co-production with ABC Signature. Moreover, ABC Signature is a part of Disney Television Studios.

The Rookie Season 6 Episodes: Where to stream?
The next season was initially expected to consist of at least 22 episodes with an average runtime of 42–45 minutes, just to be consistent with the previous seasons. But now, this is subject to change as the network might drastically cause a drop in the official episode count, to about 13 episodes rather than the standard episode count in order to avoid delays in the production of the season caused by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, which are now resolved.
For now, we’ll just have to wait and see what route the show creators will take for the sixth season!
All seasons are available to stream on ABC and Hulu based on the viewer’s location. Moreover, you can also watch The Rookie on Disney Plus, Hotstar (for Indian audiences), or FuboTV. You can also stream the series by renting or purchasing it on Amazon Instant Video, Lifetime, iTunes, Google Play, and Vudu, with a range of membership options based on viewers’ locations and preferences. Lastly, The Rookie has been licensed in more than 180 countries and territories.

Is there any official promo for The Rookie Season 6 available?
We would like to highlight that the network hasn’t released any new promotional stuff as filming hasn’t begun yet, leaving a lot of time for marketing to begin. Until then, fans can check out the fifth season trailer to recap all the events that have transpired so far in the series:
“Starting over isn’t easy, especially for small-town guy John Nolan who, after a life-altering incident, is pursuing his dream of being an LAPD officer. As the force’s oldest rookie, he’s met with skepticism from some higher-ups who see him as just a walking midlife crisis.
If he can’t keep up with the young cops and the criminals, he’ll be risking lives, including his own. But if he can use his life experience, determination, and sense of humor to give him an edge, he may just become a success in this new chapter of his life.”
