The Sea Beast Teaser 

Netflix released the first teaser on March 30, 2022, for The Sea Beast. The project was first announced all the way back in 2018 (now 4 years ago) and was originally called Jacob and the Sea Beast and, at the time was pitched as “A charming seafarer sails into uncharted waters and discovers an unlikely ally in a sea monster.”

The first look of the movie looks impressive with some mind-blowing adventures, a brave heroine and we must say some pretty cool sea monsters. Animation is not something Netflix is trying for the first time but the animation in the teaser looks just amazing and the premise really has fans hooked and they couldn’t be more excited for its release!

The Sea Beast Release Date

The Sea Beast will release on July 8, 2022. The film marks the solo feature directorial debut of Chris Williams. Chris Williams serves as the writer, director, and producer of The Sea Beast and has also served as co-director on Moana as well as 2014’s Big Hero 6. Netflix has uploaded a video of Chris Williams or its animation studio on NetflixAnimation.com where he talks about why he made the jump in the world of animation.

Jed Schlanger is a producer for the movie and he has worked on several notable projects including How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World and The Boss Baby.

The Sea Beast Plot

Netflix has provided a synopsis for the movie:

“In an era when terrifying beasts roamed the seas, monster hunters were celebrated heroes – and none were more beloved than the great Jacob Holland. But when young Maisie Brumble stows away on his fabled ship, he’s saddled with an unexpected ally. Together they embark on an epic journey into uncharted waters and make history. THE SEA BEAST takes us to where the map ends, and the true adventure begins.”

The movie is set in an era when there were terrifying seas monsters who used to roam around the seas and the monster hunters were celebrated as heroes and the greatest of them was our hero, Jacob Holland. But when a young girl named Maisie Brumble stows away on his fabled ship, he’s saddled with an unexpected ally and they both embark on an epic journey into the uncharted waters and make history. The movie has the right amount of action, adventure, and humor as revealed from the latest teaser.
