Created by Ian Brennan and Ryan Murphy, The Watcher is a Netflix Original thriller mystery that has been successful in garnering hundreds of millions of viewing hours. Loosely based on a 2018 New York article “The Cut” by Reeves Wiedeman, The Watcher remains Murphy’s 12th Netflix and the 6th original series so far.
Ever since it premiered on Netflix in October, it was successful in gauging the attention of the subscribers which consequently led to the renewal of the series by the official streamer. The series revolves around a normal family who moves into their dream home, only to realize that they are living their worst nightmare as they receive mysterious and intimidating letters from their “watcher.”

“After the Brannock family moves into what was supposed to be their suburban dream home, it quickly becomes a living hell. Ominous letters from someone calling themself “The Watcher” are just the beginning as the neighborhood’s sinister secrets come spilling out.”
Featuring Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale in the first season, the second season of the mystery thriller is also expected to feature the same cast, more or less.
