The Watcher Season 2 Speculated Plot

We now know that the case is still unresolved, and there is a possibility that The Watcher Season 2 will take place by focusing on a lot of things that happened during that time and new theories that have evolved afterward. Despite the fact that the genuine narrative of The Watcher took place over a very short period of time, the creators may go into the events that occurred following the series since numerous developments in the case have transpired.

On the other hand, the original 2018 article was part of the “rights package” Netflix secured to make The Watcher. However, there have been developments since then. This October, New York Magazine published via The Cut an update to the story, describing new efforts to make sense of the mystery. According to the outlet, these efforts have ranged from a voluntary neighborhood-wide DNA swab to the Broadduses’ pursuit of private forensic genealogy to crack the case. The Cut also describes a recent theory about a local retired teacher who reportedly spoke about sending letters to a Westfield home, which is briefly explored on the show.

The show might also continue from the season finale episode, “Haunting,” which ended with Dean still obsessed with finding the perpetrator and Nora’s artwork selling very well. Dean’s obsession is revealed to Nora, who is in the hospital due to terminal cancer. Later, Theodora calls Dean to the hospital and informs him that she is The Watcher and that the Brannocks purchased 657 Boulevard from her. She lost almost all of her savings after her divorce and was forced to sell her home. When Dean and Nora attend Theodora’s funeral, her sister informs them that Theodora lied about being The Watcher in order for Dean to be at peace.

The couple accepted an offer from an LLC and sold their home. Nora pays a visit to Karen when she moves in, telling her that she “will be watching.” Karen discovers a Watcher letter in the dumbwaiter late at night and goes downstairs to find her dog dead and a mysterious figure watching her. Dean goes to therapy a few weeks later and informs his therapist that Karen has sold the house. He returns to the house and introduces himself as John to the new owner. He lies to Nora about his location and drives home, unaware that she is watching him.
