The Weeknd’s recent concert on Saturday at the Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles ended abruptly, leaving everyone in shock. It all happened after the singer said that he didn’t feel he could provide the show the audience asked for as he lost his voice. Talking about the singer, he cut down his After Hours till Dawn concert suddenly less than 15 minutes after his performance at the Sofi Stadium. A teaser of the singer’s upcoming show, The Idol, was also played ahead of his performance.

The announcement
The Weeknd reportedly began performing after the playing of The Idol’s teaser. He performed for nearly fifteen minutes, after which he announced that he had to cancel his tour. As per a report by Variety, here is what he said while addressing the crowd, “I don’t know what just happened…but I just lost my voice, this is killing me I don’t want to stop the show, but I can’t give you the concert I want to give you right now.”
The singer further said, “I’m gonna make sure everybody’s good — you’ll get your money back — I’ll do a show real soon for you guys. But I wanted to come out and personally apologize. You know how much this kills me, I’m sorry. I love you thank you so much,” he continued before exiting the stage.”
The Twitter announcement
After having ended his concert abruptly, The Weeknd also took to Twitter to clarify the situation. The singer said that he was devastated after he lost his voice after the first song. Here is what he wrote, “My voice went out during the first song and I’m devastated. Felt it go and my heart dropped. My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise I’ll make it up to you with a new date,”
