The Witcher is a Netflix original series starring Henry Cavill as Geralt. This might be the last time we see Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, as Netflix has confirmed that Henry Cavill will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth from the fourth season. But recently it has been confirmed that Henry Cavill might continue in the role as Geralt of Rivia in the series for some time before leaving the show.

The casting director, Sophie Holland has confirmed that Liam Hemsworth will be replacing Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia in the fourth season and after that, there will be a short gap before releasing the fifth season. The fans are surely upset about Henry Cavill leaving as he was one of his best selves while playing Geralt of Rivia, but Sophie Holland says she’s excited to see what Liam Hemsworth brings to the character in season 4.

Netflix has confirmed that the phenomenal original series, The Witcher, will return for season 5. There may be a chance that season 5 is the final season of the show that wraps up the entire story. The Witcher series is adapted from the eight books written by Andrzej Sapkowski, and the total eight books will be made into the series through five seasons in total. We already know that the first two books, namely The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny, cover the first season.

The second season also covers up the first two books, and in addition to that, the makers also adapted from Blood of Elves along with other new stuff, which was not necessarily required, but as we know, season 2 turned out great. In season 3, we expect them to adapt from Time of Contempt and parts along with Baptism of Fire. After these, only two books, namely, The Tower of the Shallow and The Lady of the Lake, will be left of the whole The Witcher book series, which is to be expected to be converted in the rest two seasons, the fourth and fifth.
