Hail Mrs. Turner!
Theresa Nist, 70, and first ‘Golden Bachelor’ Gerry Turner exchanged their vows in a live televised sequence on ABC which aired Thursday night. Nist looked radiant in a Badgley Mishka gown during their Palm Springs, California wedding ceremony.
During the “Golden Wedding” special, Nist walked down the aisle in the stunning off-shoulder mermaid ensemble being led by her son Tommy. The Mishka caught everyone’s attention and featured a plunging neckline and tulle train. The New Jersey grandma wore her hair down in loose curls which neatly flowed beneath her veil. On the other hand, 72-year-old Turner exuded confidence in a classic black tux.
At the wedding rehearsal dinner, which was followed by the bewitching ensemble, Mrs. Turner wore a sequined dress that shimmered like a waterfall under the moonlit sky. Their wedding officiator was none other than a fellow “Golden Bachelor” contestant, Susan Knowles, who also serves as a wedding officiant in her Pennsylvania hometown.
Other “Golden” participants were also spotted at the wedding in the live ABC sequence, such as fan faves Kathy Swarts, Faith Martin and Joan Vassos to runner-up Leslie Fhima joining in the wedding fun. Others in attendance also included the first “Bachelorette,” Trista Sutter, and her husband, Ryan Sutter, former “Bachelor” Ben Higgins, and “Bachelor in Paradise” bartender Wells Adams.
It was truly a golden moment!
