Although Timothée Chalamet has been very tight-lipped about his relationship with Kylie Jenner, he did open up about what he thinks of his relationship with the makeup mogul.
In a cover interview with Vogue published Thursday, the actor was reticent about his romance with Jenner, whom he’s been dating since 2023, not “out of fear”, but because he didn’t “have anything to say.” Be that as it may, he subtly hinted at the possible next milestone in his life, which caught the fans’ attention.
The Call Me By Your Name star hinted that starting a family could be in the cards, implying that this milestone “could be on the radar.” Divulging his opinions about a video he was recently watching of someone “bragging about not having kids and how much time it afforded them to do other stuff”, he said that it felt very “bleak.” However, the Dune star acknowledged that some are unable to have children, but he contended that procreation is a reason for humans’ existence.
Apparently, Chalamet gets pretty tenacious when it comes to matters of love, to such an extent that he is not able to forget about the parents of an old schoolmate.
He said, “I had a friend of mine in school—a girl named Grace—and her parents had the most beautiful, amazing marriage. It showed me excellence can exist without it being arduous.”
The anecdote led the Wonka star to realize that his craft’s epitome, something that he’s arduously strove to achieve throughout his life, shouldn’t come at the cost of his personal life. Talking about Dune director Denis Villeneuve, he said,
“I’m just amazed by him. It was his birthday, and one of his kids flew themselves out as a surprise, and he’s hugging him, and he’s weeping on set, and people are taking videos. Denis is a total master of his craft, and he’s a great family man”, he said.
Chalamet, 29, further acknowledged the “new stage of life” that he finds himself in as his friends experience watershed moments in their lives.
He said, “Zendaya is engaged. Anya [Taylor-Joy] is married.”
Chalamet and Jenner’s affaire de coeur started simmering in 2023 when they were spotted together in the latter’s Range Rover outside the Golden Globe nominee’s Beverly Hills, California, mansion. The rumors were confirmed when the duo was seen engaged in a passionate make-out at one of Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” tour stops in Los Angeles.
Since then, the couple has been spotted together at public places frequently, including the US Open and the Golden Globes in January 2024, where the Kardashians star accompanied Chalamet. The duo reportedly managed to steal several kisses during a commercial break.
Although the couple’s romance was acknowledged as quite steamy and passionate, in August, reports surfaced suggesting the couple’s break-up, considering they were not spotted together for quite some time. Be that as it may, Jenner and Chalamet proved to their fans that they are together and very much head over heels for each other by grabbing a coffee together in Hungary.
In fact, the couple had received a lot of adulation from Chalamet’s Marty Supreme costar Gwyneth Paltrow, while she was speaking to British Vogue in an interview published on October 15.

And he was like, ‘I do.’ He mentioned that she had kids, and I was like, ‘That’s so cool. I really love to hear that [from] a young man like you.’”
“I understand a 45-year-old who has his own kids going out with a woman with kids, but it’s a cool choice to go out with a young woman who has two kids,” Gwyneth added. “I respect it. I think it’s kind of punk rock.”
