Read about the little mischievous Pinocchio in your childhood days? If yes, now it’s time for you to see the boy on the big screen. The live-action adaptation of the Disney drama is sure to leave you intrigued. For the record, the first-ever official teaser trailer of Pinocchio is already released and it’s high time we embark on a nostalgic roller coaster ride. The latest film is based on the popular 1883 Italian novel and the 1940 Disney movie of the same name. The story chronicles around a wooden puppet that comes to life with the magic of the Blue Fairy and tries to be truthful after becoming a real boy.
The teaser trailer
The audience is more than excited after having watched the teaser trailer of Pinocchio as it features none other than the legendary Tom Hanks himself. He leads the ensemble of the movie that also includes Benjamin Evan Ainsworth who gives his voice to Pinocchio’s character. Apart from that Cynthia Erivo plays the role of the Blue Fairy, Luke Evans plays the Coachman, and Joseph Gordon Levitt lends his voice to Jiminy Cricket. The official video gives a sneak-peek into the lives of Jiminy Cricket and the Blue Fairy while stating that the official trailer of the movie will be released a day later. Interestingly, it is not the only movie this year that chronicles the life of the living wooden puppet. Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro will also be making an animated remake of the classic that is supposed to be released by the end of this year.
Tom Hanks
The first look of Tom Hanks as Geppeto from Pinocchio has already left the movie lovers intrigued. Did you know that his first look from the movie was released way back in March this year? The actor plays the role of Geppeto, a childless woodworker who desperately wants a son. Talking about the film, it has been directed by Robert Zemeckis with whom Hanks had earlier worked in the 1994 movie The Forrest Gump. Robert also wrote the screenplay for the movie in association with Chris Weitz who has produced the movie along with Andrew Milano.
