GLOW

What was the series about?
GLOW is an American comedy-drama streaming television series created for Netflix by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch. The series is based on a fictionalization of the characters and ploys of David McLane’s 1980s syndicated women’s pro wrestling circuit, Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (or GLOW).
Why was it canceled?
On September 20, 2019, the series was renewed for a fourth and final season. In an interview with Digital Spy before the show’s revival, cast member Kate Nash pitched a few ideas for potential fourth season plotlines. However, the season was later canceled due to an ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

What was the series about?
An archivist hired to restore a tape collection finds himself reconstructing a filmmaker’s work and her investigation into a dangerous cult. A man tasked with restoring old tapes uncovers a mystery involving his past and some terrible things in an apartment building.
Why was it canceled?
Despite ranking in the top 10 on Netflix and having been watched for 128.47 million hours, the show was canceled after only one season. No apparent reason was provided to the viewers for the sudden cancellation, but despite being the most popular show on Netflix, it may not have had the same level of engagement as other shows.

Daredevil
- Original Release: April 10, 2015 – October 19, 2018

What was the series about?
By day, he’s a blind lawyer; by night, he’s a vigilante. Daredevil is Matt Murdock, who fights crime in New York. Matt Murdock’s character was blinded by a chemical spill in a freak accident as a child. Instead of limiting him, it gave him superhuman senses to see the world in a new and powerful light.
Why was it canceled?
Daredevil was canceled by Netflix, according to a statement. “We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season, and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note,” the platform commented on the cancellation.

I Am Not Okay With This

What was the series about?
I Am Not Okay With This is an American coming-of-age black comedy streaming tv series based on Charles Forsman’s comic book of the same title. Sydney Novak (Sophia Lillis) is a teen who discovers she possesses telekinetic abilities. Even though she wants to live an everyday adolescent life, she must balance her newly acquired powers with personal drama, crushes, and friendship.
Why was it canceled?
Netflix started the sudden cancellation, citing the global pandemic being the main factor that caused it not to continue. “We’re disappointed to have to make these decisions due to COVID, and we’re grateful to these creators,” Netflix said in the official statement.
