Yes, it’s true, the popular reality competition television series will return for a fifth season! Continue reading to find out more.
It’s great news for the fans! Tough As Nails has been renewed for a fifth season, which was confirmed by the network in February 2023, along with many renewals of popular scripted series, which include NCIS, CSI: Vegas, NCI: Hawai’i, and news magazine shows 60 Minutes and 48 Hours, joining previously renewed titles such as Fire Country, Young Sheldon, Ghosts, The Neighborhood, Bob Hearts Abishola, So Help Me Todd, The Equalizer, and the three FBI dramas.
It is no surprise that the show is returning for another season, as the overall reception alone indicates the show’s popularity along with the fairly good critical acclaim from the audience and critics. This is exciting because the CBS catalog will be expanding with good and creative content, which indicates that the appreciation for this genre of television series is growing and is unlikely to wane anytime soon as its popularity grows with each season.
The hard work continues in Season 5!💪🏽 Can't wait for another #ToughAsNails season filled with grit, teamwork, and a whole lot of toughness!⚒️ pic.twitter.com/5eKwCdCayI

If you’ve been watching the fourth season of Tough As Nails, which aired its 2-hour special finale episodes, “This Is Not a Sprint, It’s a Marathon” and “Keep Battling ’til the End,” a few hours ago. So, it is obvious to say that even though we knew Tough As Nails would be back for another season, it is far too early for any major television network to announce the release date of the upcoming season when the season has just concluded its run.
But, if we must speculate, Tough As Nails Season 5 could premiere in the fall of 2023 or early in 2024, at the new time slot of 9/8c on CBS, or later be available to stream on Paramount Plus, just like the previous seasons. Of course, this is just guesswork! Hence, we suggest that the viewers be patient and follow all the social media platforms for the series to be updated with the latest information.
Additionally, the plotline of the next season is not disclosed but it is expected to follow the basic premise stating, Tough As Nails is a competition series that celebrates everyday Americans who roll up their sleeves and don’t think twice about working long hard hours and getting their hands dirty, in order to keep their country running.
Competitors who consider the calluses on their hands a badge of honor will be tested for their strength, endurance, life skills, and, most importantly, mental toughness in challenges that take place at real-world job sites. The series is from Emmy Award-winning producer Phil Keoghan (The Amazing Race) and his producing partner, Louise Keoghan. Tough As Nails is produced by Raquel Productions Inc. in association with Tough House Productions Inc. Phil Keoghan, Louise Keoghan, and Terry Castagnola are executive producers.
