Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s 2.5-year dating romance is picture-perfect, according to Kelce.
On the Dec. 3 episode of his podcast, New Heights, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end surprisingly claimed to have zero fights in his relationship with Taylor Swift so far while interviewing guest George Clooney. According to PEOPLE, when Kelce inquired about George Clooney’s previous claim of never having gotten into an argument with his wife, Amal Clooney, in their 10 years together, the Ocean’s Eleven actor gently turned the tables on Kelce.
The 64-year-old Oscar winner said, “No, I’m not lying. Travis, shall we ask you the same questions?”
To which Kelce laughed and replied, “Well, it’s only been two and a half years, and you’re right. I haven’t gotten into an argument. Never once.”
Sharing about his 10-year zero-argument stretch with his wife, Clooney said, “Neither of us is gonna win the argument, so why get in? Dude, I’m 64 years old. And what am I gonna argue about at this point? You know? I’ve met this incredible woman, that is, she’s beautiful and smart, and she stands for all the most important things that I believe in in the world. And I can’t believe how lucky I am. So what am I going to fight about?”
Clooney later advised Travis and his elder brother and co-presenter, Jason Kelce, to follow his example. To which, Travis promptly confessed, “I am for sure. I’m just taking notes this whole time, big guy. You don’t even know.”

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift began dating in 2023, following the former’s public complaint of not meeting “The Life of a Showgirl” singer at her Kansas City Eras tour show. Speaking to Time magazine for her interview, Swift called Kelce’s move “metal as hell.” And as fate would have it, in August 2025, the couple got engaged.
The Love Story singer may have thought Kelce’s public frustration about not meeting his future wife was “metal as hell”, but the real surprise for her was the proposal.
According to Page Six, The Life of Showgirl singer confided in something more about the proposal while appearing on Monday night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. During the show, Fallon, 51, brought up the engagement topic and revealed how the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end proposed to Swift after filming for the podcast, New Heights, with his brother, Jason Kelce, and the Love Story singer.
According to the news outlet, Swift said, “I think, for Travis, the podcast was just sort of a distraction, sort of a ruse, to keep me not looking out the windows of the house.”

Pointing to the setup of their podcast, which had “fully blackout drapes on every single window of the whole house”, the singer continued to say, “Every time he does the podcast, it’s not like he blacks out all the windows.” Swift recalled letting it go, thinking that he was just “really serious about” providing her with the privacy to do the podcast.
What led her to assume that something dubious was going on was Kelce’s nervousness.
She said, “I kinda realized that he’s walking around sorta nervous about the podcast, [saying], ‘My heart is racing. … I know how much this means to you. I just really want this to be what you’d hoped it would be.’
“Because we’d been talking about doing the podcast and announcing the album. And he’s like, ‘My heart’s just racing.’ I’ve never seen this dude nervous. Ever. He’s professionally not a nervous person.”
The 14-time Grammy-awarded singer then revealed how, after filming the podcast, Travis had asked her, “Do you wanna go and just walk around the backyard and have a glass of wine?”
Realizing that this was the moment he was going to propose, Swift told Fallon, “I’m always gonna wanna do that.”
According to Page Six, the 35-year-old singer referred to it as “the best possible-case scenario.”
Not only that, but back in October, Swift also openly talked about her relationship with Travis Kelce, observing that their professional passions are a fuel driving their relationship.
Appearing on BBC Radio 2’s The Scott Mills Breakfast Show, the singer said, “That’s the coolest thing about Travis, like he is so passionate about what he does, that me being passionate about what I do, it connects us. There’s no point in time where he’s gonna be like, ‘I’m really upset that you’re still making the music.'”
