From the brother of Kansas City Chief’s player to his friends, everyone thinks that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have indeed embarked upon a true love story, and they are each other’s endgame. According to a source, PEOPLE revealed that “Travis’ friends think this is the real deal for him. They’re still a little shocked by all of it — that he’s dating Taylor Swift, but they’ve seen how down to earth she is with his friends and family.”
In addition, the source shares with the outlet that the relationship between the 34-year-old NFL player and the 33-year-old popular singer seems to be strengthening since both have deeply rooted themselves in their respective fields. In fact, they are often seen appreciating each other’s accomplishments.
PEOPLE further quotes the source:
“They’re both really hard workers, and he acknowledges her art is hers, and he has what’s his. He understands the territory their relationship comes with and like he said, isn’t letting any of the hoopla impact how they’re growing together.”
The source continues, “Their relationship is about the two of them, and he sees Taylor for who she is and vice versa.” The outlet then references Kelce visiting Swift in Argentina earlier this month during the Chiefs’ bye week.
Not only that, but one couldn’t forget the historic moment at the Eras Tour concert at Estadio Monumental (River Plate Stadium) in Buenos Aires on November 11, when Kelce was seen enjoying his bae’s performance along with her dad, Scott Kingsley Swift from a VIP tent. The ‘moment’ was the singer performing “Karma”, but tweaking the lyrics as she said, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.”
The Chiefs star was captured blushing in footage caught by a fan from the concert. Once the concert was over, the footage also captured Swift running back into her boyfriend’s arms as they embraced and kissed.
Wrapping up her South American tour, Swift has a relatively free schedule until February, which will obviously give the couple to spend some time together. In a conversation with WSJ Magazine in the previous week, the Kansas City Chief’s player shared his experience of being with Swift. He expresses that with her, his life is just a different kind of ballgame and that he has “never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them.”
Kelce continues to say, “I’ve never dealt with it. But at the same time, I’m not running away from any of it…The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she’s just living, enjoying life. When she acts like that I better not be the one acting all strange.”
Appreciating how his life has changed, Kelce shares, “I’ve never been a man of words. Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been f—ing mind-blowing. I’m learning every day.”
