When Travis Scott trends, you can bet the news is nothing short of sensational! The ‘Goosebumps’ hitmaker recently took the internet by storm, going viral for a peculiar performance move.
At a Tuesday show on December 19 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, Scott boldly played his hit track ‘FE!N’ featuring Playboi Carti not just once, but an impressive 10 times in a row. While this may not be the artist’s first venture into such on-stage repetition, Scott is now shedding light on what led to his headliner performance.
Why did Travis Scott perform ‘FEIN’ 10 times in a row?
In a candid conversation with host Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Scott reflected on his connection with the audience that leads to such performances. “Man, I have the best fans in the world, and I go off the energy they give me. And they were wild that night, and so I just got even wilder,” he explained.
Scott on performing at Madison Square Garden
The artist further talked about a joke where he was planning on “going even crazier at Madison Square Garden” during the interview.
True to his word, Scott not only performed “FE!N” 12 times in a row but also brought rapper Sheck Wes on stage for an unreleased verse, according to Setlist.FM, With the recorded version of “FE!N” lasting 3:12, the MSG audience was treated to over 40 minutes of the same song. Scott concluded the show with two additional renditions before wrapping up the night with “Telekinesis.”
Scott’s Brooklyn show offered more than just a repetition of one song; it included a near-miss with a giant prop during his performance of “Mafia.” In a moment captured by fans, the artist barely avoided a potential mishap when a head-shaped object suspended by wires nearly collided with him. Swiftly reacting, Scott leaped to a lower section of the Circus Maximus stage, avoiding a scary fall.
