Truth Be Told Season 3: When will it release on Apple TV+?

Unfortunately, the new series will not return on the network in December 2022, so fans will have to wait a little longer which is for another month. We know that the series was renewed for a third season back in December 2021, which is now confirmed to drop on January 20, 2023, followed by one new episode weekly every Friday through March 24, 2023, on Apple TV+

The show will have the same time slot of 3:00 am ET / 12:00 am PT on the streaming platform. The series is based on the novel “While You Were Sleeping” by Kathleen Barber, “Truth Be Told” offers a unique glimpse into America’s obsession with true crime podcasts and challenges its viewers to consider the consequences when the pursuit of justice is placed on a public stage. In season three, Poppy (Spencer), frustrated by the lack of media attention for several young missing Black girls, teams with an unorthodox principal (Union) to keep the victims’ names in the public eye while chasing down leads to a suspected sex trafficking ring that may have ensnared them.

The main cast members who are expected to reprise their roles are as follows Octavia Spencer as Poppy Parnell, Aaron Paul as Warren Cave, Hunter Doohan as young Warren Cave, Lizzy Caplan as Josie and Lanie Buhrman, a pair of twin sisters, Elizabeth Perkins as Melanie Cave, Michael Beach as Ingram Rhoades, Poppy’s husband, Mekhi Phifer as Markus Killebrew, Tracie Thoms as Desiree Scoville, Haneefah Wood as Cydie Scoville, Ron Cephas Jones as Leander “Shreve” Scoville, Kate Hudson as Micah Keith, David Lyons as Inspector Aames, Katherine LaNasa as Noa Havilland, and Tami Roman as Lillian Scoville.  

In addition to Union, returning cast members include series regulars Merle Dandridge, and Mychala Faith Lee. Ana Ayora and Ricardo Chavira of Desperate Housewives were confirmed to land a part in Season 3 of the show. “Truth Be Told” is created and executive produced by Nichelle Tramble Spellman. Maisha Closson serves as the showrunner for season three. Executive producers include Closson, Spencer, Mikkel Nørgaard, Reese Witherspoon, and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine, Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping for Chernin Entertainment, and Brian Clisham for Orit Entertainment. “Truth Be Told” is produced for Apple by Hello Sunshine, Chernin Entertainment, Orit Entertainment, and Fifth Season.

Truth Be Told Season 3 Episodes and Streaming Options

Hailing from acclaimed writer, showrunner, and executive producer Nichelle Tramble Spellman, the series will have 10 episodes with an average runtime of each episode is 39 to 50 minutes each, just like the prior seasons. On the other hand, the episode titles and synopsis of the series are not released by the network yet which will be published once the episodes are due to air on the streaming service.
