TWICE member Nayeon officially made her debut as a solo artist on June 24, 2022. It was on this day that the diva released her first-ever mini-album titled IM NAYEON along with an official music video for the title track POP!. Nayeon’s mini-album broke records as it debuted at number 7 on the Billboard Top Albums chart after its release. Apart from that, IM NAYEON has also ranked as the top best-selling album of the week in the US, while debuting on the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart. It has made Nayeon the first K-pop soloist to rank number 1 on the chart.

Billboard milestones
As for IM NAYEON, it has debuted at number one on Billboard Top Current Album Sales Chart and the World Albums Chart. Nayeon has now become the first female artist to have debuted at number 1 this year. She has also debuted at number 5 on Billboard Artist 100 chart. She has been the first K-pop soloist in history to have entered the Top 50 ranks of the chart. In addition, Nayeon is currently the second K-pop soloist following BTS’ Suga to enter the top 5 of the Artist 100. For the unversed, IM NAYEON has entered at number 7 on the Billboard Tastemaker Albums Chart.
About POP!
IM NAYEON’s title track POP! has also been soaring high by debuting at number 7 in this week’s World Digital Song Sales chart. Apart from that, the B-side track NO PROBLEM featuring Nayeon and her fellow JYP labelmate Stray Kids’ Felix has ranked at number 10 in the same chart. POP! has also debuted at number 15 on Billboard’s Global Exclusive US Chart and at number 30 on this week’s Global 200 chart.
Nayeon had earlier also entered the top 10 of the chart on two separate occasions but both these instances happened with TWICE, the girl group she is a part of as of now. Moreover, IM NAYEON has also ranked at number 1 on Billboard’s top album sales chart and has debuted atop the same after becoming the best-selling album of the week in the United States.
IM NAYEON’s Spotify spree
IM NAYEON earlier also made a record on the popular global music streaming platform Spotify where it reportedly gained 23.6 million streams. 10 million streams among the same are credited to the title track itself which is POP!. So, the song has now recorded the biggest number of streams by any female K-pop artist this year.
