TWICE’s Chaeyoung is all set to enter a new phase of her career with an upcoming debut album release. Surprisingly, the idol has already dropped a pre-release MV, Avocado, which also gives a first glimpse into her forthcoming album LIL FANTASY VOL. 1. The surprise music video also features the musical band GLIIICO, who released their first EP, The Oath, a year ago.
Interestingly, the Japanese band comprising Kai, Kio, and Nico is a personal favorite of Chaeyoung and also made a tiny cameo on her Instagram on July 22, 2024.
No wonder both parties got together to create the ravishing visualizer for Avocado which has been shared by the official YouTube channel of JYP Entertainment. Chaeyoung herself has promoted the MV across her social media accounts already. Earlier, in an Instagram post, the TWICE member also expressed her excitement about kicking off her first solo album, LIL FANTASY VOL. 1, with Avocado.
Her post also included a few images from the music video’s set. “Thank you and love to my friends who helped make my dream come true. This is just the beginning…let’s go!” Chaeyoung continued.
Not only this, but Avocado has also surpassed 912,493 views on YouTube at the time of writing this story.
Chaeyoung’s solo debut album LIL FANTASY VOL. 1 is scheduled to be released on September 12, 2025. It will include nine new tracks, though it is yet to be confirmed whether Avocado will be among them.
In other news, TWICE released their fourth full album THIS IS FOR to mark their 10th debut anniversary this year. It was released almost four years after the K-pop group’s last full album.
The most interesting part is the three special messages that the album carries: THIS IS FOR YOU, THIS IS FOR ONCE, and THIS IS FOR EVERYONE. To the ONCEs’ surprise, their title track THIS IS FOR turned out to be an English number that is all about igniting summer energy.
The K-pop girl group also embarked on their new world tour, also titled THIS IS FOR, on July 19-20 at the Incheon Inspire Arena. Later, the TWICE members headlined the massive Lollapalooza Chicago festival on August 2, 2025. Not only this, Chaeyoung, along with two members of the group, Jihyo and Jeongyeon, is also making waves with their contribution to the global hit TAKEDOWN from Kpop Demon Hunters. The soundtrack of the Netflix film has already gained popularity across major world charts, and Chaeyoung’s number is among them too.
