In March 2022, the series was officially renewed for a second and third season. According to the Netflix top 10s, between February 25th and April 3rd, 2022, the show has amassed 265,550,000 hours watched globally. So, it was an easy decision for the network to continue the story for more seasons.

Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 Release Date and Episodes

Unfortunately, the release date of Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 is currently unknown, but that is probably because the second season is still in its production stage, which will take time to complete in a proper manner and deliver the best content for the fans. Moreover, as per recent reports, the production of the second season will wrap up in November 2021.

This is a good sign that things are going well, with directors such as BAFTA-winning Danish director Niels Arden Oplev, Steve Saint Leger, who directed several episodes of Vikings, and Hannah Quinn all set to bring the series back to life. On the other hand, if we have to speculate, the next season can premiere sometime in early to mid-2023. It is expected to consist of at least 8 episodes with an average runtime of 44–59 minutes, just like its predecessor. It is expected to expand on the finale episode of the last season and continue the storyline from that moment.
