As per the latest updates in July 2022, the cast and crew for Virgin River Season 5 are currently working on the filming process of 12 episodes that will constitute Virgin River Season 5. The announcement was made along with a photo of their virtual table read on July 18. According to Netflix Life, the production will continue till mid-November, which will be followed by post-production that will supposedly go on for six months. As a result, you can expect the show to release sometime in July 2023.

If we go back to the season 4 release, then we’ll know that filming of that season ended somewhere in December 2021, and it was released in July. Taking that into consideration and season 5’s ongoing production, you can expect the new installment to release before July 2023, that is, sometime in summer 2023.

Whatever the case is, Virgin River Season 5 will surely be something to anticipate. According to the new showrunner, Patrick Sean Smith, this time, there will not be a time jump in the story, and the upcoming season will be more inclusive of diversity in terms of characters.

In conversation with NewBeauty, Alexandra Breckenridge, who reprises the role of Mel in the series, mentioned that the episodes are “pretty heavy” and “some of the best episodes they’ve ever done.”
