Virgin River Season 5 Part 2 Release Date: When will it premiere on Netflix?

Right now, there is nothing for the fandom to worry about as the chance for the viewers to stream the second part of the fifth season of this beloved romantic drama streaming television series, produced by Reel World Management, which is based on the Virgin River novels by Robyn Carr, is a long way off as the series will not be streaming its remaining two episodes in September 2023! Yes, it’s true, as the show is currently on a midseason break, which is expected to last for a while.

Moreover, the creators have also officially confirmed that the remaining two episodes will be making their official comeback with two very special holiday episodes that will debut later this year on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the same time slot of 12:00 a.m. (PT) or 3:00 a.m. (ET) on Netflix. It will expand on the romance! As star Henderson told Tudum on set in 2022, Season 5 will “thrill and shock and leave people in suspense. They’re going to be mad because we answer lots of questions, but then we open up a whole bunch more.”

This delayed release is good as it will build up the hype for the show more than ever as it shows that everything has been scheduled in advance to deal with the allotment of the fifth season by it being divided into two parts. While you wait for the series to return, check out the official post also confirming the release window, quoting, “The moment you’ve ALL been waiting for … .Drumroll, please. Virgin River Season 5 will be streaming on Netflix on September 7th! I repeat, September 7th! Better yet… There will be a part two 😉 Our HOLIDAY episodes will be released on November 30th. Get excited y’all.”

Virgin River Season 5 Part 2 Plot: What to expect?

According to Netflix Tudum, the official synopsis of the fifth season states that the season begins immediately after the last scene of the Season 4 finale, which features chef Preacher (Colin Lawrence) and his former love, Paige (Lexa Doig), as they faced off against her evil ex’s also-evil twin brother, Vince (Steve Bacic). While it seemed they might have accidentally killed Vince in self-defense, he’s fine — and cop Mike (Marco Grazzini) shows up just in time to take Vince into custody while ignoring Vince’s claim that Paige and Preacher killed his brother. (Something tells us that might come back to haunt them later.)

We’ll see surprising new relationships, a shocking break-up, a difficult court trial, a heartbreaking goodbye, and a wildfire that threatens the town, bringing some residents of Virgin River together while tearing others apart. Issues of motherhood push Mel to make a big decision about her future at the clinic while her pregnancy unexpectedly sparks an emotional connection to her past.

To further prove himself to Mel, Jack squares off with some long-overdue confrontations — with his own demons and, of course, with Charmaine. And as Doc and Hope’s respective impairments throw their identities into question, the doctor and the mayor must find solace in their community, in their young new family, and in each other.

The plot lines from the fourth season that demand to be dealt with include: What’s going to happen with Vince, Paige, Christopher, and Preacher? What’s Denny’s prognosis? What kind of trouble has Brady gotten himself into this time? And who, exactly, is the father of Charmaine’s babies? “What you can expect from Season 5 is a lot of answers to the questions you have been waiting for,” executive producer and writer Erin Cardillo told Tudum at a set visit last year. Hope’s recovery, Doc’s diagnosis, the Paige situation, Brie and Brady’s relationship — they’re all going to be addressed, which is quite exciting for the fans to finally get some answers.

Virgin River Season 6: Will there be another season or not?

The answer is a big yes! If you recall, back in May 2023, ahead of the fifth season premiere, it was confirmed that the series has been renewed for a sixth season, as it has been among Netflix’s most successful series. The renewal was previously hinted at by many cast and crew members. Jinny Howe, Netflix’s Head of Drama, also addressed the prospects for Virgin River’s future plans, quoting:

“I think we definitely see more longevity and growth with the show,” she said. “As long as the audience asks for it and shows up—and I think we see with Season 4 that the fandom is very strong and growing in many places as well—it feels like based on what we’re seeing with Season 4 and the anticipation for Season 5 that there is a lot more storytelling to offer us.”
