When a notorious and wicked prank gets Wednesday expelled, she’s shipped off by her parents to Nevermore Academy, led by Principal Weems. Nevermore Academy is for the misfits, outcasts, and children with supernatural talent. High school becomes the least of Wednesday’s worries as she experiences painful psychic visions.
Using Tyler’s help with directions, Wednesday is on the hunt to unfold the mystery of the prophecy that everyone is so obsessed about. She walks into the ruins of the house, immediately experiencing another vision of Joseph Crackstone, along with others executing an outcast by burning.
Wednesday discovers that Principal Weems is a shape-shifter which leads to Wednesday confronting them about covering up Rowan’s death. Tyler reveals his true form, and Joseph Crackstone is alive, arriving at the school to make fire rain, as promised. Wednesday has a stalker, and Tyler is still out there. What’s coming next? Who’s the new Principal? All of these questions lurk in the dorms of Nevermore Academy, and we are about to find them in the second season.

Wednesday Season 2 Release Date
Netflix still hasn’t announced an official date for the season’s premiere, but it is likely to stream around mid-2024. The first season premiered on November 23, 2022, and consisted of eight episodes. Season 2 is expected to have the same number of episodes as well, kicking off with solving all the cliffhangers. Fans are in for a ride with even more horror, humor, and mystery to binge-watch.
Wednesday Season 2 Cast
Season 2 is expected to retain some of the major characters from season 1, such as Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Thora Birch as Tamara Novak, Riki Lindhome as Dr. Valerie Kinbott, Jamie McShane as Sheriff Donovan Galpin, and Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpinto, along with the addition of some new faces.
Wednesday Season 2: What to expect?
While not much is known about the plot of Wednesday Season 2, one thing we know for sure is that it would have more horror and less romance, as Jenna Ortega has said in several interviews. It seems that Xavier’s part in Wednesday season 2 will be reduced. Owing to Percy Hynes White’s controversy and the controversy related to his character, many doubt whether Xavier will return in Wednesday season 2 at all.
We could see Season 2 picking up from where Season 1 left off, and we can expect to see the new principal of Nevermore Academy.
The showrunners also have some insight to share when it comes to Wednesday season 2. In conversation with TVLine, the showrunners expressed their intention to explore the Addams family’s relationships in depth. Not only that, but they also emphasized the idea of Wednesday trying to “forge her own path outside the family.”
