The varsity jackets that are in trend today existed in the USA in the 1950s. The famous bond between Jughead, Betty, Archie, and Veronica, the known franchise of the Archie comics that has been in existence for over eight decades now, was converted into a show in 2017 with seven seasons.
The show has taken people’s hearts away as the comics have actually come into real life. They are people who present these characters in a much-evolved form. The good news is that season seven is finally going to come out for everyone to access it. The sad news is that this is going to be the final installment for this very famous comic turned into a show called Riverdale. Here is all you need to know about Riverdale season 7.

Riverdale Season 7 Plot:
The seventh season picks off from where season six ended. We see that Jughead goes to Yale to learn writing, and there are a lot of events that unfold over that, along with the disturbances in his personal life. He finds out that he belongs to a lineage of writers whose writing has been converted to a very famous book series, but his grandfather had not been given the rights to that.
He figures out that he is in the 1950s, and without knowing how he got there, he needs to get back to the present. His friends Archie, Veronica, and Betty are living a seamlessly easy life, and everything seems normal to them but not to Jughead.
But they fail to realize that day, that they have to travel back in time to the 1950s. With a vintage theme and retro vibes, they’re learning a lot of life lessons together; Betty is questioning how her life is, her relations with Archie, why she moved to Riverdale, her relationship with her mother, and Cheryl is busy figuring out her sexuality, her relationships, how her life is unfolding with only her mother and grandmother, how she is seen as a bad omen whereas all this is combined with the old Riverdale high where all the students dwell in uncertainty.
Alongside that, there are new characters who are coming and trying to make things difficult for the friends. While there is suspense that is unfolding about the problems that usually keep happening in Riverdale, there is another conspiracy that Jughead and his friends need to solve together.
Recap of last 6 seasons:
For Riverdale, one needs to understand a basic plot Archie and his friends are at the center and everything revolves around them.
All the friends that are connected to them are equally important, and the family members are well. It is about the town and the hardships they face while tackling their own personal demons.
Season One sees the murder of Jason Blossom, and it is all about who has murdered him because he was the only son of the very famous tycoon Mr. Blossom, the maple business owner. It progresses into the second season, where Betty’s father turns out to be a serial killer. In the next season, there is a cult that kills people, makes them sacrifice, hypnotizes them, and engages them in an Organ racket. It is known by the name of Gargoyle King.
After this, the plots of the upcoming seasons change, and it is about specific characters.
Season four and five is dedicated to Archie. It is about the mistakes he makes, how he loses his friends, family, a chance at a career, and how, after undergoing a legal trial, he tries to get back his relationship with Veronica. Hiram is trying to interfere and create a lot of problems for him because he is not very fond of Archie, and he’s very possessive about Veronica. This leads Archie to leave town after he loses his father and fails at handling his business.
Amidst all this, other characters and their lives are unfolding as well. Betty is figuring out whether she’s actually in love with Jughead because he becomes a Serpent King, and Veronica starts her own business. She gets the Pops diner and opens a Speak Easy below. She also tries to start an alcohol business with Cheryl Blossom amidst all this chaos to challenge her father. A lot of events unfold, after which we see that Jughead is being sent to university to study and he is bullied. The friends plan to fake Jughead’s death to take revenge on some of his classmates.
There is a book club that is only a cult-like Illuminati, which can be accessed by limited people. Jughead gets to be a part of that, but he’s being bullied. After multiple encounters, he finds out that he has a lineage of one of the best authors, and now he can finally write something along those lines. However, things don’t come that easy, especially if you’re from Riverdale.
So that is where the quest begins, and it continues into season seven.
Will there be Riverdale Season 8?
As of now, sadly, this is the last season of the Riverdale franchise. However, there are chances of new spin-offs based on specific characters who are loved. But only time can tell as there is no official communication on the same. We can hope to see the cast together in any other future projects by the same makers.
In conclusion, all good things come to an end, and so does one of the shows that was a heartthrob amongst young adults. To conclude, as Jughead says, and we quote, “Perhaps in Riverdale, the best you could hope for wasn’t to win, but to draw and pray not to lose.
