Many are speculating that the Bangtan Boys may get together after a gap of over two years. Now, there is a piece of good news for all the BTS fans. The estimated year of their return from military service is revealed.

BTS to be back in 2025
Earlier, BIGHIT Music said that the oldest member of the band, Jin, will be revoking his request to delay his conscription at the end of the month and undertake the steps for his military enlistment. The agency further revealed that the other six members of the group will also follow thereafter and will be reconvening as a band again around 2025 following the completion of their service commitment. However, they haven’t revealed further information on the timing of the service given.

The BTS members recently performed at the free-of-charge free ‘Yet to Come’ concert in Busan to bid for the city as the host for the 2030 World Expo. The concert was also live-streamed on platforms like Weverse for fans around the world to virtually enjoy the same. It was at the same concert that the eldest member, Jin, revealed his upcoming solo album. Earlier, J-Hope also released his solo album, Jack in the Box, which became a huge hit.
BTS’ military enlistment
After years of speculation and internal discussions among the South Korean government authorities, it is finally decided that the Septet members will serve their military terms. The eldest member of the group, Jin, is the first one to enlist in the service, as per the official announcement of BIGHIT Music. The agency said, “BIGHIT MUSIC is proud to announce today that the members of BTS are currently moving forward with plans to fulfill their military service. After the phenomenal concert to support Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030, and as each individual embarks on solo endeavors, it’s the perfect time and the members of BTS are honored to serve.”
The agency further said, “Since the creation of BTS over ten years ago, the band has risen to international success, broken records, and catapulted K-Pop into the global stratosphere. BIGHIT MUSIC has focused to the milestone moment when it would be possible to respect the needs of the country and for these healthy young men to serve with their countrymen, and that’s now.”
