FBI Global Crossover Event Release Date and Time Slot
The next month kicks off with the beloved franchise making history for a second time this spring season around the world!
CBS’ Tuesday-night FBI trinity is set to team up FBI, FBI: Most Wanted, and FBI: International for a three-part crossover event that will start airing on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. For this special night, the series will air on CBS at 8 p.m. with FBI: International, followed by FBI at 9 p.m., and conclude at 10 p.m. with FBI: Most Wanted on CBS and later available to stream on Paramount Plus.
The special three-hour crossover event is simply titled, “Imminent Threat.” The short synopsis of this event states, “The FBI teams join forces to hunt down the fugitive terrorists who are getting closer to carrying out a plot to destroy a major New York landmark that would result in a large number of civilian casualties.”
The official Twitter handle of the show also confirmed the news to the fans by posting a short clip making the much-awaited announcement, quoting, “3 TEAMS. 1 MISSION. 1 NIGHT. Join us for #TheFBIs Global Crossover Event — Tuesday, April 4th on #CBS and streaming on #ParamountPlus. It’s going to be EPIC!” Take a look at the official post below:

The three FBIs will be featured in a second crossover episode on the CBS network. As the first crossover episode aired back on September 21, 2021, it introduced FBI: International, the third season of FBI: Most Wanted, and the fourth season of FBI. Since the inclusion of Dylan McDermott and Edwin Hodge in FBI: Most Wanted and Eva-Jane Willis in FBI: International, this will be the first crossover.
It’s not a surprise that this franchise has lasted so long as “FBI” delivers 11.3 million viewers with live+ 35-day viewing, “FBI: Most Wanted” gets 9.6 million while “FBI: International” delivers 9.1 million. Additionally, while the majority of Variety’s annual list of the year’s 100 most-watched primetime telecasts went to sports, a few series made the cut, which included the cherished franchise “FBI.”
“As the FBIs continue to dominate on Tuesday nights, we are excited to reward our devoted fans with this special three-hour global crossover event that will bring these three heroic – and popular – teams together for a second time,” said Eric Kim, executive vice president of current programs for CBS Entertainment and CBS Studios. “Our April 4 crossover event will be a non-stop thrilling experience that will keep viewers engaged in ways that only Dick Wolf’s ‘FBI’ world can.”
In addition to this, McDermott previously revealed to Deadline he was keen to be part of a global crossover, stating, “Oh yeah, that would be so cool! I know they did a crossover between all three shows before and people were watching it. They start at 8 p.m. and leave the TV on. I think it would be fun for Remy to show up on all three and have a storyline where he can go back and forth. I think the fans love that,” he said.
