Woke Season 2 is all set to be released on the streaming platform Hulu, and to keep the excitement going, Hulu has released the trailer for the same.
Woke is an American comedy TV series created by Keith Knight and Marshall Todd. It is produced by Keith Knight, Marshall Todd, Jay Dyer, Maurice Marable, Will Gluck, Richie Schwartz, Eric Christian Olsen and Kate Schumaecker.
The name and the genre of the series can be considered as ironic as the genre is comic and the name has a serious meaning to it. Nowadays, Woke refers to people who are aware of grave societal issues surrounding marginalized communities like racism.
The series too revolves around Keef Knight, a black cartoonist who keeps his art ‘light’ and restrains himself from touching controversial topics. His world felt right till the day he was taken down by a police officer, just because he is Black by race. The series takes a look at racism that is still prevalent in the society, but with a comic lens.
The trailer of the upcoming season has been released so here’s everything we know about Woke Season 2:

Woke Season 2 Trailer
The trailer gives a quick peek in Keef’s life as an ‘artivist’, a combination of the words art and activist. The second season will follow the event of the first one and shows the aftermath of the abuse Keef faced based on his race. Now Keef is a social media artivist who talks about pressing issues through his art. But is that enough for a present-day influencer?
Woke Season 2 Plot
The series follows Keef Knight, a cartoonist who tries to depict light humor with his cartoons. One day he gets assaulted by a group of policemen which basically was rooted from racism as Keef is a Black African-American. The shock of the incident tangled a few wires in Keef’s brain and he started to hear non-living entities as if they are humans.
The second season deals with the ‘artivist’ side of Keef who has fifteen thousand social media followers and express his thoughts on societal issues. Being a black activist, Keef is expected to openly talk about other pressing social issues as well. Though the narration of events is comical, the sentiment behind is very much real and thought-provoking.
