Yellowjackets Season 2: When will it release on Showtime?
Sadly, the new series will not return on Showtime in December 2022, so fans will have to wait a little longer. We know that the series was renewed for a second season back in December 2021, which is now confirmed to drop on March 24, 2023, for Showtime On Demand subscribers and March 26, 2023, for Showtime cable subscribers, before making its on-air debut at the same time slot of 9 p.m. ET/PT. The official Twitter handle of the show also urges the followers to stream the episodes, quoting, “You won’t be hungry much longer. March 24, 2023. #Yellowjackets” Take a look at the official post below:

Yellowjackets Season 2: What to expect in the new season?
The series is told in both the present (2021) and past (1996), before the plane crash, and then right after. It charts in parallel how the survivors are still managing their trauma – in plenty of unhealthy ways – in the 25 years since the terrible event, and in the flashbacks, what they had to do to survive in the immediate aftermath of the crash. Season 1 had them dealing with a lack of food, impending winter, mental health deterioration, animal attacks, and strange rune symbols popping up on the trees and surrounding the cabin, all of which made for one hell of a potboiler.
And then, they threw in a Lord of the Flies-Esque spiral into cannibalism, murder, and maybe even a cult? From the looks of the teaser, the snow that started falling in the last episodes of Season 1 is only going to make life harder for the plane crash survivors. And perhaps blood sacrifices are also going to be part of the survival game.
On the other hand, Steven Krueger, who plays Coach Ben in Yellowjackets, did, however, open up to TV Insider that Season Two is a “whole new ballgame.” Further adding, “We are going into the wintertime when the season ends with that first snowfall. This season will cover the winter months,” he said, “It’s going to get dire out there with little food and the challenge of staying warm and alive. A good general overall birds eye view of the second season is it feels like producers loved we were the crazy show on TV and want to take that and double down. If you thought Season 1 was crazy, just buckle your seatbelts for Season 2. It doesn’t let up.”
