The seven-time Emmy Award-nominated series, which follows wildly talented high school girls soccer players, will be back for another season to descend into savage clans after their plane crashes in the remote northern wilderness. Twenty-five years later, they discover that what began in the wild is far from over. With the recent renewal, the exact premiere date for Yellowjackets Season 3 has yet to be determined, but it has been speculated that the release window is likely to be around 2024. As the first and second seasons also had a 2-year gap. It is expected to follow a similar timeline, with new episodes possibly dropping on a weekly basis at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The cast members who are expected to reprise their roles include Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, and Tawny Cypress. Lauren Ambrose and Simone Kessell have also joined the second season as series regulars. Other members include Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, and Kevin Alves. Yellowjackets is executive produced by Lyle, Nickerson, and fellow showrunner Jonathan Lisco.
The third season is also expected to have 10 episodes with an average runtime of 56 to 58 minutes, just like the earlier episodes.
