You is a psychological thriller series that is based on the books by Caroline Kepnes and follows the life of Joe Goldberg, a bookstore manager and psychopath serial killer who falls in love or what we call an has an extreme obsession with different girls. In the first season, he becomes infatuated with Guinevere Beck and takes the help of every possible strategy to feed his toxic obsession, which later ends in Beck’s death.

In the second season, he moves to Los Angeles and finds avid chef Love Quinn. The moment he falls in love with her is the moment his destiny changes because Love is also a psychopath serial killer. He does everything to make his relationship with her succeed, which comes at the cost of many other lives. In the third season, they are married and raising their baby together. However, their relationship is not the same. Joe begins another obsession cycle with a neighbor, Natalie, and Love, to make sure her family stays intact, kills her.

The series debuted in September 2018 on Lifetime, and the second season was released on Netflix in December 2019. The third season was premiered on October 15, 2021, and the series was renewed for a fourth season, even before the premiere of the third season. Is You Season 4 coming to Netflix in June?

There have been no announcements related to an official release date for You Season 4 as of now, meaning it’s surely not coming to Netflix in June.

However, Netflix confirmed that filming of the new season has officially begun on March 22, 2022, in London. If we look into the previous schedule, we expect You Season 4 to come out sometime in late 2022 or early 2023.

The previous seasons of the series are based on one of Caroline Kepnes’s novels, with Season 1 based on her book You, Season 2 on Hidden Bodies, and Season 3 loosely based on You Love Me. Caroline has said that she is working on a fourth book, but we don’t know if the makers will follow the source material or not. At the end of Season 3, Joe murders his wife and fakes his own death too.

He handed off his son, Henry, to a neighbor and starts his journey of finding Marienne, his latest source of obsession. When Marianne finds out the truth about Joe, she flees to France with her daughter to escape him, and the last episode ends with Joe in Paris, looking for the one he thinks he loves this time. In the next season, we’ll see if Marienne manages to run away from Joe or if her fate will be just like the other girls.

In an interview with TVLine, actor Penn Badgley said, “I think Joe will remain the same. Someone this profoundly ill, disturbed, traumatized, and violence has a serious hurdle before them if they’re ever going to heal and change.

“I don’t know if it’s possible for someone who’s that far gone.”

Season 4 will also have some additions to the original cast. As confirmed by Netflix on February 17, Lukas Gage will appear as a series regular and Joe’s new nemesis. He will take on the role of businessman Adam, who is the warm, funny, and hard-partying son of a wealthy family who is famous for failing to meet their standards. But the one thing he did learn from his parents is to do whatever it takes to get what you want.

Another new character in Season 4 is Charlotte Ritchie, who plays Kate, an art gallery director who is suspicious of Joe from the moment she meets him.
