The first part of the fourth season of the much popular series You has already seen Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) reappearing in London, England, this time with a brand-new profession and identity. Netflix has treated the fans of the series with the widely anticipated season that has just been released on the platform on Thursday, February 9, 2023, introducing viewers to the new world that Joe has found himself in.
If you have already binge-watched You season 4 part 1 then you must already know that although Joe tries to lay low when he first gets settled in London, soon he gets caught up in a wealthy crowd with old money and big secrets. When a series of murders take place and Joe starts receiving threatening text messages, all he can do is try to solve the case.
The major twist this time is that, Joe is not the murderer and instead becomes the lead investigator of the mystery, which has surely delighted the fans. Part 1 of the new season has changed up the tone of one Netflix’s blockbuster series and we are loving it.
We won’t be giving out spoilers here on what happens in the end or who the ‘Eat the Rich’ killer actually turns out to be, but having said that you will have to read on to know about the next batch of episodes and when they are expected to hit the streaming giant.
When will You season 4 part 2 release?
Fans who are done with the episodes in part 1 of the latest season and were hoping for part 2 to release around the corner, will be disappointed to know that the next batch of episodes of You season 4 will not be coming in February 2023. However, the good news is that the wait will not be long as You season 4 part 2 is scheduled to release on Netflix on Thursday, March 9, 2023, which is exactly a month after the release of its first part.
Yes, that also means that it’s less than a month from now that we will get to watch the new batch of episodes.
Is You season 4 the final season?
Season 4 of You isn’t over yet and fans have already started wondering about the future of the Netflix thriller. Well given the success of the series, that’s pretty understandable.
Some may think that You season 4 is going to be the endgame of the series, but there has not been any official confirmation on the same. While we do think the series will end sooner than later, Netflix Life had earlier predicted that season 5 could be the final season of the series. But that’s totally a guess and Netflix has not announced anything of that sort yet. Though what we can confirm is that You season 4 is definitely not the last of the series as neither the makers nor Netflix has announced anything of that kind. Yet. So yes, there’s no dearth of hoping that the psychological thriller continues for a bit longer and keeps us hooked.
What is expected from You season 4 part 2?
Here’s the official plotline of You Season 4 (courtesy of Netflix):
“After his previous life went up in flames, Joe Goldberg has fled to Europe to escape his “messy” past, adopt a new identity, and, of course, to pursue true love. But Joe soon finds himself in the strange new role of reluctant detective as he discovers he may not be the only killer in London. Now, his future depends on identifying and stopping whoever’s targeting his new friend group of uber-wealthy socialites…”
With Joe and Love’s relationship arresting at an aggressive stop, Joe is moving to yet another continent, this time Paris, to mull over his latest obsession, Marianne. However, it’s not just the character Joe who is donning a new profession. You season 4 will be Penn Badgley’s directorial debut.
