Young Royals Season 2 Plot
*Spoilers Ahead*
At the end of the first season, a sex tape starring Wilhelm and Simon leaked and their relationship crumbles eventually. Wilhelm denied his involvement in the sex tape to protect his family but by doing so, he has betrayed Simon in the process. In the finale of the first season, Wilhelm asks Simon about the possibility of being together in secret as it’s not possible to date freely to protect the crown’s reputation. But Simon isn’t happy about the offer and ends things between them for good. But we know that they both still share romantic feelings for each other.
In Young Royals Season 2, we’ll see if Wilhelm continues to obey his mother’s wishes and ignore Simon or if he’ll choose Simon over the crown. We’re hoping for the latter one. Simon and Wilhelm will see each other at school and there is going to be a lot of sexual tension in the coming episodes. We can’t wait to see if Simon will forgive Wilhelm or if the pair will still struggle for their happily ever after.
Young Royals Season 2 Cast
The main characters from Season 1 are expected to appear in Young Royals Season 2 as well, including:
Edvin Ryding as Prince Wilhelm
Omar Rudberg as Simon
Malte Gårdinger as August
Frida Argento as Sara
Nikita Uggla as Felice
Pernilla August as Queen Kristina of Sweden
Nathalie Varli as Madison
Carmen Gloria Pérez as Linda
Speaking to Numero, Ryding told about his character and how he relates to him, he said, “There are certain things why we can relate to these characters. I can see myself in Wilhelm when it comes to his struggles with anxiety. I have done my research about the royal families but there’s so much more behind it that we, as civilians, don’t get to know. So we’ll never know exactly what it’s like. From what I’ve read and what I’ve seen, I know I don’t think I would want to be a young royal.”
To which, Rudberg agreed and said, “It would be fun to try it out for a day or a week, but not forever. Edvin really tried to be a prince on set sometimes though. I can relate a lot to Simon. Whenever he’s at school, with friends, but also when he comes home to his Latin American mother and they speak Spanish. They have this same little connection. Life at school is not the easiest thing for him and that way I see myself in Simon. I cannot relate to his grades though.”
