Thiruvananthapuram: A policeman was found dead at his home in Neyyattinkara Mavilakkadavu. Shibu, a constable of Kanjiramkulam police station, was found dead at home. The body is about five days old.
He lived alone at home as he was away from his wife. He had heart disease. Shibu, who was on medical leave, returned from Sabarimala duty six days ago. He has not been out of the house since.
The locals informed the police after the stench had spread around the house since the last day. Shibu was found dead in his bed when a police team led by the Thiruvananthapuram Rural SP reached the spot and opened the house.
The initial conclusion of the police was that the cause of death was due to heart disease. The body was shifted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College for postmortem.
