In Karnataka, a case of murder of another man has come to light. A 34-year-old man in love with a girl of another religion was first abducted and then murdered in the Vijayapura district. Police found his body in a pond. The girl’s maternal uncle and her younger brother have been arrested in the case. The name of the victim is Ravi.
Ravi was in relation for four years.
The victim Ravi, a resident of Balaganur village in Vijayapura district, was in a relationship with a woman of another religion for the last four years. Meanwhile, the girl’s family members threatened him and asked him to end the relationship. The relatives allege that Ravi had gone out to buy goods from his house on Thursday but did not return home. When the family members searched for him, they found his slippers and clothes in a nearby field.
The girl called the police, crying and talking about saving Ravi.
While Ravi’s family members were searching for him, his girlfriend called the police control room on Friday morning and cried out that Ravi’s life was in danger. She said on the phone, “My boyfriend’s life is in danger. He can be killed. My parents will harm him. Please save him.” However, her attempt was unsuccessful, and Ravi’s body was found in a pond in the village.
Girl’s maternal uncle and younger brother confessed to the crime
After receiving a call in the control room, police said that they immediately brought the girl to the police station for her safety. After they confessed killing Ravi, the police took the girl’s maternal uncle and younger brother into custody.
“The girl’s father and elder brother were missing, so we took her maternal uncle and younger brother into custody. They have confessed the crime,” Superintendent of Police HD Anand said.
Based on the information given by maternal uncle and younger brother, police recovered Ravi’s body from the pond. A case has been registered in the matter, and the number of people who carried out this murder is being investigated.
Let us tell you that this is the second case of murder in Karnataka in recent times in an inter-religious love affair. Earlier in Belgaum, a man was murdered by his girlfriend’s family members and a Hindu right-wing group. The victim was found lying on a railway track. The girl’s father and some members of the right-wing group have been arrested in the case.
