The director of the film, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki has disclosed.

Farooki told Mid-Day that Irrfan was about to make a Hindi version of the Bengali film Ant Story. He said, “Irrfan Bhai wanted to make Ant Story in Hindi. I had made the film in Bengali under the name Piprabidya, and he bought the rights to it. All the payments were already made. He had seen it on Netflix.” Let us tell you that ‘Ant Story’ was released in 2013.
Irrfan could not start the project due to a busy schedule
Farooki said that Irrfan could not start the project due to his busy schedule. Farooki has shared memories related to Irrfan. He said, “It is sad that we lost him. It is a huge loss. He was not only a great artist but also a great human being. I would always tell him that he wasn’t just an actor but also a poet.”

In ‘Ant Story’, actors like Sheena Chohan, Noor Imran Mithu, Mukit Zakaria and G. Sumdany Don were seen. Hridoy Khan and Armanul Hoque played the role of music directors in the film.
Recently Farooki is in talks with Nawazuddin for a film: ‘No Land’s Man’
Irrfan was seen in Farooki’s film ‘No Bed of Roses’. This film was released in 2017. Currently, Farooki is in a discussion about his movie ‘No Land’s Man’. He is presently busy promoting this film. Veteran actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is going to be seen in this. The film deals with fascism and identity crises. Tahsan Rahman Khan and Eisha Chopra will also be seen in the movie. AR Rahman will produce the music of the film.
Irrfan lost the battle to cancer
Irrfan’s last film was ‘Angrezi Medium’, released about a month before the actor’s death. Last year, Irrfan said goodbye to this world at 54 at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. Irrfan was suffering from cancer. In the year 2018, Irrfan told everyone that he was battling cancer. He was born on January 7, 1967, in a Muslim family in the Tonk district of Rajasthan.
