Foldable phones have become a reality. From companies like Samsung to Huawei, many giants have joined the bandwagon by launching their unique handsets. However, a company that was yet to follow in the footsteps of these companies was Oppo.
The Chinese tech company has been working on the foldable device for a long time and leaks related to it have been coming to the fore.
A new report says that Oppo’s foldable phone can be launched next month. The codename of this device ‘Peacock’ has been revealed.
Here are the leaks related to the design
For its first foldable smartphone, Oppo may adopt the same design, which many companies have already followed.
Samsung brought the first Galaxy Fold with this design and later Huawei and Xiaomi also launched devices with the same design.
In this, apart from the secondary display on the outside, a large display will be given inside.
Oppo may also bring a foldable phone with a clamshell design next year.
120Hz refresh rate display will be available
Oppo’s foldable phone named Peacock has surfaced on the Chinese forum site Weibo and it is said that it will be launched in December.
According to GizmoChina, the device will come with an 8-inch 2K display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate.
According to the report, a 4,500mAh battery can be found in this phone with 65W fast charging.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor can be found in Oppo Peacock.
32MP selfie camera may be on the cards
The previous report said that Oppo can offer a 32-megapixel selfie camera in a foldable device.
At the same time, a 50-megapixel main camera sensor can be found on the rear panel. At the moment it is not clear how many camera sensors Oppo will include in this module.
Apart from this, Oppo can also launch a flagship phone early next year.
This device can be part of the premium Find X series and can get Snapdragon 898 processor.
The company has brought a phone with a flexible display
Oppo ‘Peacock’ will not be the first phone from the company, in which a kind of flexible display will be given.
The company has showcased Oppo X 2021 in November last year, in which a rollable display was given.
The 6.7-inch display of this phone can be changed to 7.4-inch by giving a single command.
The company had said that this phone gets a ‘continuously changing OLED display’, although it was not launched for consumers.

Oppo foldable phone will be expensive
Leaks state that Oppo’s new foldable device will not be cheap. However, this is nothing new.
The initial foldable phones of all companies like Xiaomi, Huawei and Samsung were launched at a price of more than Rs 1 lakh.
It has been revealed that Oppo’s first foldable device will first be launched in its home country of China itself, that is, this phone will come with limited availability.
