It’s official. Megan Fox, 35, and Machine Gun Kelly, 31, have announced their engagement after a year-and-a-half of dating! And their fans couldn’t be happier. As soon as the actress shared the news on Instagram, fans were quick to flood the post with love and loads of best wishes.
The magical proposal
On Wednesday, both the actress and the singer, whose actual name is Colson Baker, turned to social media to inform followers and share an intimate video of the proposal, which took place on January 11, 2022.
They also claimed that the singer proposed in a unique location – under the same tree where they had requested “magic” 18 months prior.
She wrote in the caption: “In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma. Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him. And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes.”

Machine Gun Kelly expressed his feelings while flaunting Fox’s gorgeous engagement ring
Colson, too, shared the news on Instagram, explaining why he chose to make her gorgeous engagement ring for Megan in the way he did.
“Yes, in this life and every life” beneath the same branches we fell in love under, I brought her back to ask her to marry me. I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love,” wrote Colson aka Machine Gun Kelly.

Fans and celebrities congratulated the couple
Fans rushed to the comments section to express their happiness for the pair, however, others were perplexed by the sort of celebration they hosted afterwards.
“Yall really had to finish the caption like that smh but congratulations,” one said.
“OMG I’m so thrilled for you both, but what,” another wrote.
A third remarked: “What are you talking about?! What did you do now?”
Travis Barker, who recently announced his engagement to Kourtney Kardashian, replied on MGK’s post with a black heart. Yungblud put three black hearts in the comments, following the pattern. With a stream of flaming emojis, Ryan Tedder changed things up.
Whitney Cummings quipped, “Cut to me and Pete [Davidson] battling in a cage over who officiates this wedding.”
“FINALLY!! Congratulations! I’m so delighted for you!” Maggie Lindemann joined the conversation. Lil Huddy jumped in and wrote, “That ring is beyond ridiculous.”
“You two are the ideal ‘pear,'” says Avril Lavigne, commenting on the ring’s colour scheme and form.
They met while filming the movie Midnight in the Switchgrass in 2020.
While romance rumours abounded, they didn’t confirm their relationship until an interview with GQ in October 2021.
