TH BBC historical drama, Call the Midwife series has marked its importance over time. Showcasing the struggles of a group of nurse midwives working in the East End of London in the late 1950s & 1960s. Fans are already buzzing about the most recent season, especially after the end of season 12. Thanks to Heidi Thomas for showcasing the struggles of women in those days while also making us laugh. The first few seasons were based on Memoirs by Jennifer Worth, although with the additional seasons, the series also covered new and historically sourced material. Is Call the Midwife Season 13 renewed? 

After welcoming Sister Veronica, the midwives are back to give up updates about their lives. The British period drama TV series, Call the Midwife Season 13, is renewed! Thanks to BBC for keeping the series alive even after being one of the longest-running tv shows. The major relief for the fans was hearing Heidi Thomas’s statement about the upcoming season. “It’s an incredible privilege to be able to look back on a decade of Call The Midwife & yet know that our journey is still very far from over,” said creator, writer, and executive producer Heidi Thomas. “We are thrilled to be going on for a few more years.

“Like Nonnatus House, we have a proud past but an even more exciting future – full of old favorites, fresh faces, higher hemlines, and new ideas. The stories we tell are like babies – they never stop coming, we love them all, and we vow to do our best by every single one.” Director of BBC drama Piers Wenger added: “We are delighted to have secured the future of Call The Midwife, and look forward to enjoying more adventures for the inhabitants of Nonnatus House for years to come.”

Call the Midwife Season 13 predicated release date

Nonnatus House is open again and might be running till 2026, thanks to Heidi Thomas for delivering the happy news. With a total of 114 episodes in 12 seasons, the series is a British television drama series that first premiered on BBC One in 2012. The series is based on the memoirs of Jennifer Worth, who worked as a midwife in the East End of London in the 1950s. It follows the lives of midwives and nuns working at Nonnatus House, a nursing convent in the impoverished Poplar district of London.

After the announcement of the series, Thomas said, “We are a family behind the scenes, on the screen, and in front of the telly, and I’m thrilled that we’re all heading into the 1970s together.” Series 13 was previously confirmed by the BBC & filming will start in the spring. Our main cast members: Miranda Hard, Helen George, and Jenny Agutter, have made their characters remarkable, the result of which the series has been the fourth most-watched festive program on Christmas Day.

Series 14 and 15 will include eight episodes of 60 minutes long along. Since the last episode got out on February 26, 2023, the series might take some time to air again. We know the filming of the series will begin in spring 2023. We can predict the new season will likely release at the beginning of 2024, until then, we can restart the program!
