House of the Dragon Season 2 Predicted Premiere Date:

The gods have finally shown mercy on us, putting us out of our misery by giving the green light to the House of the Dragon Season 2 production! Yes, you all heard it right! On August 26, 2022, less than a week after its premiere, the series was renewed for a second installment. Finally on April 11, second season production started! Sadly, we have no idea about the second season Premiere date. Although we can pick some ideas from HBO Chief Casey Bloys statement to Vulture,

“Don’t expect it in ’23, but I think sometime in ’24,” he said, declining to get into specifics. “We’re just starting to put the plan together, and just like last time, there are so many unknowns. It’s not to be coy or secretive, but you don’t want to say it’s going to be ready on this date, and then you have to move it.”

From what we know, the first season production took almost ten months. In April 2021, the filming of the first installment began and it got wrapped up in February 2022. After this post-production took place & finally gifted us with the first episode of the series on August 21, 2022. If our predicted premiere date holds somewhere accurate, House of the Dragon Season 2 might get introduced to us in mid-2024.

House of the Dragon Season 2 expected storyline:

After what happened at the end of the first season, we are pretty sure the second season will begin with war. We noticed how Princess Rhaenys was trying to fulfill her deceased father’s wishes for peace. However, that wishes are not going to last longer, especially after Lucerys tragic murder. On the verge of ending, we saw when Daemon gave her the news, after which she was devastated. However, when she turned her face grieving look converted into hatred & we all predicted what that expression screamed… Revenge!

Even executive producer, Hess gave an interview to Variety in late December 2022, in which he gave us a spoiler. He slipped the information regarding the House of the Dragon Season 2 plot will mostly include a revenge storyline against Alicent. In the beginning, we saw both Alicent and Rhaenyra have attempted to chart a peaceful course through the chaos Viserys left in his wake with his deathbed words. In the above post, we can see Rhaenyra and Ser Criston Cole having a conversation. By the looks of it, we believe it is one of the behind scenes of House of the Dragon Season 2.

House of the Dragon Season 2 Cast:

From what we know, all of the remaining main cast will be returning in House of the Dragon Season 2. Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra, Rhys Ifans as Ser Otto Hightower, Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon, Eve Best as Princess Rhaenys, Fabien Franke; as Ser Criston Cole, Olivia Cooke as Queen Alicent & more. The more exciting news is there are some of the new cast members too!

House of the Dragon Season 2 welcomes Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Simon Russell as Ser Simon Strong, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwyne Hightower, and Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull. The production is tight, while the episode count has been decreased from ten to eight. As long as we get quality time, quantity doesn’t matter. House of the Dragon Season 2 is going to be a blast & we can feel the fire in our bones!
