Katy Perry doesn’t need another life to be Trudeau’s girl, because it seems that they are officially ‘against the world.’
According to TMZ, the Roar singer and the former Canadian prime minister made their first public appearance as a couple on Saturday, October 25. The couple reportedly attended a cabaret show at the Crazy Horse Paris to celebrate Perry’s 41st birthday. At the end of the show, the duo stepped out of the theatre hand-in-hand, while a fan gifted the Grammy-nominated singer a rose and wished her happy birthday.
The couple then walked to the waiting car and drifted away while the paparazzi continued to click their photos. The I Kissed A Girl singer styled a stunning red dress, while Trudeau donned a cool, all-black ensemble for their date night in France. Per PEOPLE, the dating rumors between the couple sparked when they were first spotted together on a date in Montreal, Canada.

At that time, while Perry was going through a separation from her ex-fiancé, Orlando Bloom, the politician had separated from his wife, Sophie Grégoire, after 18 years of marriage in 2023, co-parenting their three children, Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien. Perry initially met Bloom at a Golden Globes after-party in 2016, got engaged to him on Valentine’s Day 2019, and welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove, in 2020, according to Mint.
After a months-long hiatus, the couple was snapped together in September, embracing and kissing each other on a yacht off to Santa Barbara, according to media reports. According to Mint, Trudeau had previously attended one of Perry’s concerts in Montreal during her Lifetimes Tour.
Although neither has publicly commented about their relationship, their current sightings seem to suggest that this is more than just a friendship. Speaking to PEOPLE, a source divulged that Trudeau was pursuing Perry since their dates in Montreal. They said, “He even flew to California to see her during a tour break. They have an easy connection. She finds him attractive. He’s been very respectful.”
Not only that, but another source shared Perry’s feelings for Trudeau with US Weekly. The insider revealed, “Katy is really into it. She’s very happy. She’s trying to keep it low-key, and they’ve spent a lot of private time together. She’s not looking to publicize this relationship.”
“Their friends think they are a good match, but he actually hasn’t met a lot of her friends yet”, the source continued.
In September, when the rumors of the duo seeing each other began to simmer, the source confirmed to US that Perry and Trudeau have “decided to be much more private about it. … They are still speaking and are very interested in each other.” Be that as it may, another source had added at the time that their relationship “isn’t serious” since Perry was preoccupied with her tours.
Before the singer kickstarted the European leg of her tour in October, a source revealed to the news outlet, “Justin has made plans to see her when she has downtime in a few weeks when she gets back from her tour in Brazil.”
They further added, “Katy is taking it day by day but is very open to dating.”
The 41-year-old “Fireworks” singer is reportedly trotting the globe as part of her Lifetimes Tour and to promote her latest album, 143.
As per the reports, the concert series kick-started in Mexico City in April, followed by halts in various cities across the globe, including the United States, Canada, and Australia.
Celebrating her birthday, the singer took to Instagram to share a Stories post, featuring a humorous message from X that jokingly remarked how the singer’s mother, Mary Perry, “released Katy Perry”, tantamount to the singer dropping a new musical project.
Not just that, but Perry shared an Instagram post earlier this month celebrating her astrological sign, captioning it with, “We have officially entered Scorpio szn ♏️🦂.”
