Remember when SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi made headlines a year ago while talking about his thoughts on marriage? All of this happened when the K-pop idol made an appearance on Lee Young Jin’s Yongtarot. In the same episode, the host used tarot cards to explore various aspects of Hoshi’s life, including his love and future plans.

At the same time, the SEVENTEEN member expressed his desire to get married someday. In fact, he also expressed his desire to go on family trips with his future wife.

The viral confession resurfaces online

Recently, the heartfelt moment shared by Hoshi on his marriage plans resurfaced online and was met with warm reactions from several fans. One supporter of the SEVENTEEN member commented, “True carats want the best for the boys, if they are happy, we are too, hope he finds someone to love and marry, doesn’t matter when or who.” To that, Hoshi replied with a simple, “Thank you.”

This reaction from the K-pop idol is sure to leave his ardent fans surprised and happy. Meanwhile, he also replied to another fan comment that said, “Real fans just want the SEVENTEEN members to be happy.”

Not only did Hoshi acknowledge the message, but he also thanked everyone else for their kindness and support.

Happenings of the earlier event

A year ago, Hoshi had given a serious but cute statement on Lee Young Jin’s Yongtarot. Here’s what he reportedly said, “I’m curious about one more thing, when will I get married? I’m just curious. Let’s check if I’ll get married in my 30s.”

To this, the host jokingly replied, “So we’ll check will you get married in your 30s and also, will you get married in your 80s? There’s a possibility, maybe? Do you have those thoughts? If you ever got married, the kind of life you’d imagine?”

Hoshi was quick to respond to this and said, “Right now, I’m focused on work. But someday, if my fans could understand, if that happens, I’d want to go on family trips with my wife someday.”

Hoshi’s earlier controversies

In July 2025, the SEVENTEEN member became the center of attention again after he accidentally liked an Instagram reel that angered many BTS fans. The matter escalated further and also led to an alleged fan war between the CARATS and ARMYs.

Initially, the issue began when Hoshi accidentally liked a post that praised SEVENTEEN’s stage performance from the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2019.

For the unversed, the BTS members had won an award in the show. Hence, the ARMYs saw Hoshi’s likeness as an “insult” to the Bangtan Boys.

While some fans were, of course, upset, others defended Hoshi, saying that his ‘like’ on the post was just to show support for SEVENTEEN. Many also reminded the haters that he had always respected BTS.

On the work front, Hoshi will be going on a break soon as he is getting ready to begin his military service alongside fellow member Woozi. Both artists are scheduled to enlist on September 16, 2025.
